San Juan mountain area is awesome, but these rocks are sharp AF. I put on brand new falken RTs, C rated, "dura spec" sidewalls. I drove 1200 miles to get here, two days ago on the trails I picked up these sidewall cuts. Tire pressure was 10-12 psi when it likely happened. My LC is loaded down with camping gear.
They are not leaking air, and I've been riding on the trails with them like this for a couple days, Im staying in Ouray tonight, then another night camping on the trails, then one night in Durango, then driving 1200 miles home.
Out of abundance of caution I have two new tires that will be waiting for me in Durango for the drive home. (My spare is an older 32" ridge grappler, new tires are 33").
Just wondering if these cuts are something people normally just roll with and if I'm being too cautious, I'm worried about a blow out at 80mph on the way home and losing control bc of all the weight I'm carrying up top.
First two pics are front tire. Next two are the back tire which looks a little worse to me of the two.
