Nice pics Evan. Somehow that High Dive obstacle looks tame in the photos especially compared to White Knuckle.

You want to be 100% confident in your brakes on BTR.

Great pictures Evan. In the pictures Moab rim does not seem so bad, inthe driver seat it is a different story:eek:

Nice pics bro.

I met the 100 series dude in the campground, the only other Brown brother so I had to say hi:D His steering rack bushings (i think) was loosening up and affected his steering pretty severely.

I need to do the Moab rim one of these days....minus the family.

Well Mike, you've seen both and you've driven White Knuckle, so you know the real story, but I'd agree with you - the photos of High Dive don't begin to explain how it feels from the driver's seat. Especially in an 80 - all you can see is miles of hood!

And yes - good brakes are critical!

Great pics Evan. ITs been a while since I have seen your truck, looks great!

Clearly one or the other of us (or probably both) needs to get out on the trail more!

I saw your post on the "big Mud" board about your new tires - let's go get them dirty!

I couldn't agree more. Moab Rim is something. It made me wish my Cruiser was a low rider, so I wouldn't feel the off camber so much.

It was a shame his steering wasn't holding up - it looked like a nice truck otherwise. The good news was that we were probably less than 1/2 mile into the trail, so he picked a good spot to bail.

I think he also oversized the tires considering what lift he had - if any. His front tires were rubbing severely as he was trying to get turned around.

"Minus the family" - good idea and make sure your life insurance is paid up first!

Jim - You'll like it! This was my second time running it. We did it last year in October with about 6 trucks from HDC. Just be careful on "High Dive" - that's the closest I've ever come to rolling my truck. Oh yeah, it would have been an end-over-end roll, not a side-to-side roll. Needless to say, I skipped that obstacle this time around. Luckily, there's a bypass.

The trail's a blast, but I thought it was pretty technical in spots. I'll get some more pics up later today.

Evan

Evan et al,

Behind the Rocks was an experience. The only obstacles I didn't try were High Dive and Up Chuck. I thought it was a fun trail, but I'd rather climb than go down most of the obstacles. It's definately one to cross off of my list.

those first two are awesome!

Those first two were taken on Moab Rim. I forget the name of the obstacle.

David is one of the few people on the planet who could (or should) drive that trail with open diffs.

The rest look like Poison Spider Mesa and a couple from Steel Bender.

Nice pics!

Devil's Crack. it's the first real obstacle you come to going up (he's coming down obviously).
