oh yea... alt. is fixed.... ended up taking it off... and it sounded like a empty can full of marbles.... haha.... took it back to the guys who built it for me... seems one screw came loose and grenaded the interior of the alt. They built me a new one and made sure the screws were tight and works wonderful... glad it was not in my wiring...

drove 26 miles on saturday... everything seems fine... water was leaking out of the water pump until it warmed up, which has been happening for the past week or so. new one should be here today or tomorrow, spend easter sunday tearing the old one off... so I am all ready to bolt a new one on as soon as it is here. Insurance went on today for full coverage, so I only had liablilty this weekend that is why I did not want to drive it too far.
Got alot of things to do for Ducks Unlimited this week so I hope I can get that pump in because it is suppose to be nice this weekend, would love to see myself put a few hundred miles on...

Got the new water pump in tonight, everything went great. Running cool and no leaks. Took the first night drive tonight. Had to pull back in shop to adjust head lights. Got then all figured out, took two times to get thwm where I wanted them. 4 miles in the dark tonight. Still cool here, about 45-50 now so still not too fun to drive around. Hope it is nice this weekend, would still love to put a few hundred miles on.. full coverage insurace went on yesterday so I am all rweady to go!

got just over 100 miles on it as of now... nothing too exciting to report. Got pulled over on saturday, no brake lights, was just a fuse. all the cop wanted to do was talk about my truck, he had 2 when he was in highschool and college... haha... talked to him for over 20 min on the side of the road. finally said "dude, I gotta go..." think he would have yapped at me for the rest of the day.
weather is going to be not nice for the next week again, so I wont be able to get out anymore.... hoping to be able to drive it to my grandpas house to show him next week... so hoping for good weather!!

6 miles today and the engine starts making real bad knocking noises, turned it off as fast as i could within mins, had to get %ucking trailered home, got it on hoist and pulled oil pan. #6 cyl connecting rod is loose as it could be without blowing out! pulled cap and crank is all ked up..... god damit! what do i do now 130 miles on a fresh rebuild i paid 2k for and it is all ked up! as u see from all my posts, rocker was put together wrong, changed oil pan, side cover, and timing cover gaskets because they all leaked..... now this! i am so king pissed off!
engine builder not in until monday, believe me he got a call! i cant even begin to decribe the amount of pissed off i am right now....
what can i do?
going to have a cocktail and try to cool off! or cry myself to sleep.... have not decided which one yet..

Things will get better an she will run strong again,,,I really like your thread an build is great,,sweet looking rig. I've been just looking at it from time to time an I have to say its inspiring to see your rig an it makes me as a newbie want to do more an more to mine before she gets on the road..

actually Ed i could care less about the $ i just dont have any more right now. so the plan is, hook on to it with my Tundra drag it out to the middle of my yard and burn it to the ground! now that will make me feel better!

Well the engine builder should be responsble. I wouldnt put out a dime....make him fix it. great job btw.

Sorry to hear about your engine troubles. Take it back to the engine builder and try to be cool about it. You'll get it worked out in time for some warm weather, topless cruisin' soon.
Fxxx, Aaron! This is just incredible! I am sick about it. Deal with the engine builder but just walk away from the Cruiser for a while. You raz me about it taking me so long to build my junk but, for me, it is just a hobby. If I don't feel like fxxxing with it I don't. Blow off your steam, take a break. It will all look better when summer hits ya up north.
