Hey folks, I'm trying to get my new-to-me FJ60 through California smog. With that, I have a few outlets on my air cleaner housing that I think need a home. I've been digging through my copy of the '81 2F Engine Emissions Control Repair Manual (EECRM?), but I'm a bit stumped about these four outlets. I also have tried to dig around online for engine bay photos, but have struggled to find ones that show all four of these hoses and their endpoints.

It's confusing to me that this is even a problem since the PO smogged it just under a year ago... but then removed these hoses?

Of the four, three are at the front left of the housing. The leftmost one I've deduced from the EECRM that it goes to the Vacuum Switching Valve for Air Injection which is toward the front left of the engine bay, but the other two... I'm at a loss. The manual is confusing - the hoses just seem to disappear into the Same with the one on the back, which I don't even see in the EECRM.

The one at the rear... is it supposed to go into the port I circled in yellow?

Screenshot from the EECRM. I'm not sure if the rear hose is indicated on this diagram, and two of the front left hoses just disappear into the lower morass.

I’ll answer yes to the air cleaner to valve cover hose. Your picture is correct. One of the guys with a smogged vehicle will tell you where those other three go.

edit... just looked at the picture again. Someone forgot to bolt down the air cleaner to the valve cover. You can see the bolt hole and the bracket (attached to air cleaner) twisted out of the way.

without the hose from valve cover to air cleaner the engine is sucking in unfiltered air into the engine
I can't tell in the pic if the 3 are capped, if not unfiltered air is getting in there also.

If you look at the overall picture in post 2, the tube from the air cleaner for the choke opener is supposed to have a restriction fitting in it. This is just a hose barb connector with a smaller inside diameter than the vacuum tubing. For some reason it is missing from the picture posted by OSS.
