Throwing out some ideas
Summer camping in the South East can be down right nasty with the humidity- a fall or spring event would be better if camping was anticipated. Or choose an area higher up in elevation like Asheville NC. Maybe some discussion of a home based location or point to point.
Anyway- Here’s some ideas for ya’ll
Georgia Traverse- which could be a point to point event general overlanding FS type roads About The Georgia Traverse
Uwharrie National Forest- nice wheeling and trails; and the possibility of organizing recovery technical training class. Off-Roading in North Carolina’s Uwharrie Mountains - Carolina Country
Windrock- anything and everything youd want to wheel WINDROCK PARK - The South's Premier Off-Road Adventure Park
South East Adventure Trail- overlanding FS roads SEAT - South East Adventure Trail

I dont know much about Arkansas but I hear theres lots of forrest and trails- and theres also TX hill country and BigBend.
Lots of options-( for cooler weather)
