Brenno,

Both of the last couple have been in Melbourne, the one that was scrapped was here in Adelaide.

I have my eye on another one here in SA - if the other one falls through.

Dan

some interior photos from the PO.

the surface rust is where rain got in under the carpets - nothing a wire wheel or two wont fix!

That's very nice dash. You have a well looked after wagon. It won't take much to get her back in shape.

Just got an email from the PO - it's waiting with a couple of boxes full of spares and manuals and even had a wash!

Heading over on the 18th/19th to bring it home

Hey Dan,

This looks like a great Purchase !

I am keen to see what its like once you get it home. Factory AC... You Bastard ;)

It looks like yours is in much better order than mine but I am sure we will both get them back to better than Factory condition.

Any idea what happened to that Rusty Blue one ?

Hey Dan,

Any idea what happened to that Rusty Blue one ?

No idea - after driving across to Melbourne, I could've paid $300 for it, but it wasnt worth my effort. It has since probably been recycled.

There is/was another one in SA near Clarendon.

Hope the trip goes well!

Thanks Pablo - I'm heading off tonight, however I wont get there till tomorrow, then I'll load it up on the trailer and get ready for the return trip.

Dan

I can see how it wasn't worth restoring but with AC and a manual window tailgate and the same rear lights as mine, that alone is worth some real dollars to me in the way of parts.

Well, after a successful trip, I've finally found some time to post up some photos of my new pig.

At this stage, my only immediate plans are to make it weatherproof (weather stripping and felt trims) so that rain cant get inside. I'll be moving the BJ42LX out of the shed this weekend, so after that, the 55 will be tucked up inside.

Then I'll check the brakes, transmission leak and change fluids.

Then it'll be off for registration inspection and transfer of title.

dash:

does anyone know if the door trim on the outside is stock? anyone want it? personally, I think they trap moisture and present the perfect opportunity for rust.

Dancar,

Looks very nice! You must be happy.

I have a request: would you post a picture of the seat belt mounts, on the pillars. I'm thinking of moving mine to that spot.

Thanks,

Ron

Very helpful and Toyota to boot. I seen the third shifter and thought it was an overdrive, nice.

You got a good one!

Thanks again,
