I just finished a head gasket on my 1997 80 series and I started it up and it runs very rough. Pulling spark plug boots, I found no change to the idle on cylinder 6.
I have no check engine light (should this throw one?) I confirmed I have good spark and I can hear the #6 injector firing, the injector reads 14ohms. I pulled the spark plug after running for about 8 minutes and it looks brand new still (not even wet). I confirmed my distributor rotor points just in front of cylinder one wire at tdc, and noticed when I turn the distributor cap clockwise idle increases but the misfire remains.
Where should I look next? Why am I not getting a CEL?
