I’m sorry, but I don’t believe you. I owned a 2013 LC for about 7 years. I tracked my fuel economy with Fuelly. At every fill up I entered the gallons pumped and miles driven, over more than 70,000 miles. You can see the data from 41 different owners here:

Fuel economy for those owners averaged 14 mpg. My average was about the same. I got about 20 mpg a couple times, but only at low highway speeds of about 60. Fuel economy drops dramatically as speeds increase. Over 70 mpg? No way in heck you got 20+ mpg at that speed.

I never trust the trip computer. I go by miles driven and gallons pumped.

I understand statistics a bit, and very acquainted with bell curves. If you look at the analysis given by the link from @M1911 you will see at the right end of the bell curve that some owners recorded mpg up to 22. Yes, that is not considered the norm, but those results are part of the statistics. That is 3-4 standard deviations from the mean (middle). All of this is to be expected in a normal bell curve, which is what was presented. Also as shown by the bell curve, 13-15 mpg is the NORM.

A few weeks ago I drove from CO to MI to CO. Fully loaded. No extra gear on my rig. Nothing on top. Nothing on the hitch. It is possible I might have driven near or above 80mph, but I will not attest that I did. Encountered some head winds, some heavy rain, and a tad bit of city driving. Tires properly inflated to 33psi. Got 17.92 mpg overall. My computer mpg was showing about 18 most of the trip. I've done that trip before and attained higher mpg by not driving as fast.

I've tested my computer mpg several times. Mine is at least 98% accurate.

For my 2008, the mpg has improved by using the Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy full synthetic engine oil.

Looks like we are mixing total mileage driven vs fuel consumption in miles per gallon, that is fine ofcourse.

Cycletroll, in NM do they still sell a lot of ethanol free gasoline? They used to but my last visit that seems not the case anymore. Overall interesting the Michelin Defenders are so efficient, for even with ethanol free gas the MPG you get is remarkable.
I felt that responding to and adding my mpg experience was Germaine to projected ownership experience as fuel economy is one of, if not the, most cited ongoing expense concerns :)

Unfortunately there is not much ethanol free gas available in NM anymore. I finished my Fire Department carreer at the Santa Fe Municipal Airport which had Honstein Oil pumps with 93 octane no ethanol Premium available. I did several rigorous mpg tests with this fuel with both my 2007 gx470 as well as my 2013 lx570. Both yielded ~15% better fuel economy with the ethanol free fuel but this proved a wash as cost was 15-20% higher as well!
Personally it has been my observation that driving style is the single biggest factor in both mpg as well as vehicle longevity. Some people are just more obsessive about mechanical harmony than others.

I bought a 2011 with 147K a couple years ago. It was priced on the high side because of the scarcity of the Amazon Green. It's been bullet proof so far and I just continue to maintain it for the next 100K and more. It's a thirsty vehicle so I don't drive it much but it's great for snow and dirt.

After searching for a 200 series for 1.5 years and driving plenty to see many disappointments, including some periods of time where I had completely given up and was convinced I would buy a GX550, I found a ‘17 with 118K miles. I too struggled with coughing up the $ for something with that mileage as I’ve never bought anything at any age or price with that much mileage. 1 owner, no accidents, excellent service history, and a clean undercarriage. Many I looked at had huge service history gaps and were in condition that didn’t give many any reason to think they were well-maintained.

I looked in all different price and mileage ranges including low mileage CPOs, but this one spoke to me. Got 120K service including plugs, front and rear diff fluid and transfer case fluid changes, along with trans drain and fill included as part of the deal. New front brakes done as well (Lexus dealer, so they have experience doing all of this). Restorfx (clear-coat treatment) was done as well as part of an arrangement the dealership made with a nearby shop (York, PA) where they also removed the PPF from the leading edge of the hood. Relatively fresh Yoko AT G015s and rear brakes as well.

And to echo what was said above, if you turn the engine one and the climate control auto button is on but AC isn’t working and then comes on after 15 seconds or so, there’s an issue with the recycle door. Easy to see if it’s working by cycling between the fresh and recycle modes while looking thru the filter door inntye glove box. Could be a minor repair but could be a very expensive and time/consuming fix.

To wrap it up, I am truly glad I bought it. I’ve never driven anything else with such a perfect balance of brawn and comfort. I fully expect that I’ll have some unplanned repairs as time passes, but already see it as money well spent with this fantastic beast.
Do mind sharing the approximate purchase price?

Roger that. But that was last summer when you bought I think. Asking prices are up 10-15% for similar vehicles now. IMO......

I'm hot and heavy in a search.....
