After a year of searching and having lost 2 vehicles at the last minute, I finally found my dream rig. I decided to name her Vicki after the woman who lovingly took care of her in San Diego for the last 16 years.

I had planned to build her up but have decided to wait as I am enjoying her so much in her stock form.

So far I have based lined her, all new synthetic fluids everywhere, fluid filmed the under carriage and put on new tires after much internal debate (Michelin Defender LTX 1 size up from stock: 265/75/16).

Extremely happy with the tires- super quiet and comfortable. Big upgrade from the older stock M/S she came with. Also happy with the size- they are not 33's but at 1inch larger in diameter than stock they fill the wheel wells nicely and I just love the ride.

Was planning on running board removal and even purchased OEM front mud flaps but am actually digging them for now and have decided to keep them on.

Just want to say a big thanks to everyone on this forum- I have learned a ton over the last year from all of you and am so excited to finally have a rig of my own.

For everyone currently looking for a 100: It is a jungle out there. Btwn low gas prices and the interest generated in part by this forum and forums like this, people are snatching these things up with lighting speed. My advice: Be patient and if you do see the one do not hesitate to move quickly. I was the second caller on this vehicle the day it was posted and I offered full ask ($16,900) site unseen pending a pre purchase inspection, flew from Maine to Arizona and drove her back.

Anyway thanks again and cheers!

I was wondering when this might show up. Just missed it :bang: guess it went to a good home looks like, I hope you enjoy it for many years.

20-30 years from now if you ever need/want to sell it. Remember this post bc I'm your guy ;)

Great find. Easily my favorite color in the LC line. I have one myself!!

You live in Maine and purchased it in Arizona. How did you find your LX?

I had been looking for a year locally. The day I found my LX my Isuzu Trooper
broke down (Starter) while we were delivering Meals On Wheels. When I got home,
I found mine (2002 LX with 24,930 miles, $23.5K) while browsing on Ebay.
Saw it being auctioned, called the seller and asked what the reserve was, then asked if
he would offer a Buy-It-Now button at the reserve.
Mine was a Santa Barbara, California car imported to North Carolina.

BTW, nice vehicle. You found a real gem.

Thanks @wtmtnterror- rest assured she will be babied and enjoyed!

Deal! Yeah I am a big fan of the blue but also was open to thunder cloud or that maroon color.

Basically I was searching every possible corner of the Internet all the time. This one I found with a nationwide Craigslist search I set up with alerts to new matches twice a day. So for me it was a combination of obsession and luck. Congrats on your LX btw- probably the lowest mileage truck on Mud

Congrats on an impossible year/milage/climate combo! After looking for a couple months, I can confirm that it's difficult to find a good one for a good price.

Congrats Jon! That must have been one heck of a road trip! But that's the way to do it - fly out to a dry state and bring her home.

I know Vicki probably wouldn't appreciate us looking under her skirt, but you must post pics of that clean as a whistle undercarriage!

Nice Cruiser, very clean and a favorite color of mine! When my parents bought mine in '98 it was either Atlantis Blue Mica or Mahogany Pearl... The latter won haha.

Thanks @RND1 ! Here are a couple the seller sent me before I flew out and a couple other shots I found:

Wow, a 2000 with 68k. Sounds like Vicki forgot she owned it for a few years! Nice find.
