Can somebody list the pros and cons of the Fox's? A running list would be nice to have for those looking to purchase a new set of shocks!

Nick -

Do you still have the Profenders installed? Even after all of your testing, would you still go with the Profenders over the Fox's?

Pretty sure he's running both... Not positive though. Profenders in the front, Fox's in the back.

Nick's new apartment is located in the year 1979, so he doesn't have Internet. He should be back online in te next few days.

Are you running stock valving? I'm going to increase my rebound by 40%. Compression and dampening is great.

Do you know what the valving numbers are for the of the shelf shocks?

Got mine installed today. Luxury ride. NOT a sporty ride at all. If you want your 100 to ride like a Cadillac sedan they are a great choice. If you enjoy spirited driving you will hate them. They are not an off road shock at all.

For reference I have a '99 100 with OME medium springs, OME torsion bars, Slee diff drop, and not much extra weight, just a bullbar without winch and Slee sliders.

In retrospect I wish I had gotten OME Sports instead.

What are you going to replace them with? I agree they are soft but for me they have been a billion times better than the OME's. Especially for 2nd and 3rd row passengers.

FWIW, I've been nothing but happy with my long 2.5 RR Radflos... Firm on the highway yet swallows up the big hits like nothin's there. The whole 'clicking' thing isn't an issue with the longs. Only have about 1,200 miles on them, however 400-500 of those were off pavement.

I just wanted to give a quick update on my fox 2.0's

they are fantastic. I have yet to run into anything that I wish I had shocks that performed better in any way. I don't do any crazy rock crawling so the front travel is really of no concern to me. There is one spot on my daily commute where I used to top my shocks out almost daily with OEM, but I no longer have that issue. Blasting down dirt roads is a joy and the ride around down is much more controlled and refined. There is a bit more body roll than with OEM but I'll take that compromise all day long. Long story short, I can't imagine shocks that cost 4x as much are 4x better. I doubt there is a better shock for the money right now.

Interesting... I just picked up a set of OEM's to slap on the back to replace my Fox 2.0's. I get tons of sway just going down the freeway. This with OEM springs and spacer. Will do some testing and report back. No doubt, speed humps at 45-50 MPH are an absolute joy, but 80MPH freeway drives feel a little sketchy...

Similar experience. My ProFenders are incredible. The Fox's are great for speed bumps, horrifying on the highway. The rear never settles, it just keeps floating and swaying. I have 866 springs (heavy 1.5"). From what I can gather, if you are nose heavy (no rear bumper) the Fox's like to bounce.
