bigbrowndog said:Good point ,should have read it better.I thought that you guys were mainly FJ and from 40 to55 pehaps the Mods can shift it or should I delete. Thanks
Up the top end here they did for sure.We call them tray backs as against style side for the pressed metal type. Both are refered as Ute or utes from utility. The tray back carries a lot more and doubles as a work bench and sleeping platform in crock country areas....8ftx6ft bench.4x4Poet said:Great look at the other side of steering.
Did most FJ45s down under come with utility beds shown here instead of the pickup beds we see on N. American 45s?

Cheers thanks for understanding guys.Hope the mods do LOL.
We are going to swap in the 2H from this truck.
Better head back to the 70 section, not much happening there.

cheers Radds the rustbucket with the diesel is actually listed in Oz as a HJ47, the motor has done less work than my HJ75 its very tight. He is going to strip the motor and line bore and balance with a complete rebuild then turbo. Then put it in the fj45.cheers gazzaRadd Cruisers said:Great looking rig, your in the right forum regardless.
I have never encountered a 83/84 dash on a FJ45, very cool.
Like the tray back also......

The 2F is in really good and has extractors and a good exhaust. My mate is a diesel Mechanic by trade and loves diesels . Its not often one lets you down in isolated places and fuel is available through out Cape York and the gulf, some of the Aborigional reserves have banned petrol and will not sell it now.Actually the body on the yellow Hj47 could be done up but would involve a lot of work. cheers65swb45 said:Slober, slober. My trayback ute HJ45 doesn't look anywhere near that nice, and prolly never will. That is a SWEET MACHINE. Is there something REALLY wrong with the 2F to make you go thru the trouble to install the 2H?
