Ahh, if dumb luck was so reliable, there'd be someone out there that could get that 1 piece MAF header to seal without leaking the first time! :D
 
IDave,it sounds like I have the same set-up you have. A Manafre 1-piece header and stock intake. If your set-up has worked for 9 months for you,I'll try to duplicate your method for now. I'd rather go stock and never have another leak.I'm in Florida so a heat riser shouldn't be an issue.
OEM gaskets aren't easily accessible around here. I'll go with a couple of steel Napa gaskets,permatex hi-temp copper sealant and some new bolts.
Am I forgetting anything?...I'm going shopping.
 
Sounds good. Agree you need not worry about the heatriser. If you decide so later, a liquid one such as MAF sells would cover your needs. (that's what I am using for now)
