Sup my doggies, I bought this truck late December after months of looking for a nice late model 200 series... After finally coming to terms and deciding way I'm too poor for the trucks i wanted, I settled on the truck i've wanted for years, an 06/07 100 series!! I found this truck out in Texas the day it was listed, before the pictures or price was listed. All I knew was that it had 146k miles and was "brown"... well i knew that there was no brown 100 color, but i did know that "black garnet pearl" could look brown to a non-LC obsessed normie. I went to bed that night thinking there's no way its gonna work out.. its gonna end up being a NY truck covered in rust, its gonna be $25k, or its gonna have gray interior. Luckily for me, the photos the dealer sent to me showed it was none of those things :) So, I bought the least expensive last minute/Christmas one way ticket to Texas i could find for the next day (still $500...) and started my little adventure.
When I got to Texas, i looked the truck over, made the deal, and was on my way back to Atlanta! Im used to driving a 62 on 37s... i finally had a V8 under the hood so i took advantage of it... 85mph the entire way back East on 20 was a nice change of pace!

My plan is simple.. Make it look super cool when parked in the parking lot at work, so...
-Couple patagonia stickers because duh..
-Lift (OME looks fine)
-Front and Rear ARBs + 4.88s
-295/70R18 KM3s
-ARB front bumper
-Slee rear bumper
-White Knuckle Offroad Sliders
-Projector retrofit

This ugly little boy is me.

I went back to north Ga today and took some terrible pictures for y'all!

And here's my 62 build, its pretty entertaining.

LINKY: My first Toyota

And my younger brother's 80 before he ruined it with monstaliner...

So it was $25k? Nice LC. My favourite color!

Thanks. Got for just over 19!

P,

Good to see you building another rig brother. I've always liked that color. But, you know me...

Thanks Jason! I’m really excited to start spending too much on another LC! I’ll probably be spending some with you in the future. Your products are as quality as ever!

Love my 100, miss my 60. Jealous of your garage!

Thank you I’m loving this 100 as well, normally I get bored quickly of things... this truck I haven’t found one single thing that I’m disappointed in. Hurry and get another 60 before all the nice ones are $30k!

A bunch of 100 series guys in the ATL area, myself included. Check out the georgia cruisers page, they get together every once and a while and hit some trails.

My sentiments exactly. Miss my 60 bad, but get to steal the girlfriend's brother's 87 once in a while. Love my 100, curse my 6' garage doors preventing suspension upgrade. Still trolling the 60 forum and have been enjoying your "Woody" thread for years. Your LC knowledge and passion is contagious. Look forward to seeing where this build goes! Subscribed.

You disappear for two years then show up with a purple 100 series Patrick? What is the world coming to??

Is your brother's 80 triple locked, with a license plate to match? If so then I've met him at one of the GA Cruisers dinners.

Nice looking trucks! Keep an eye on the trail rides forum; a handful of us have been trying to get out to N GA together about monthly for some riding.

Nice truck. I think that one you posted from ACC is a fellow member here.

Thanks Couvi! Yep, the owners around here somewhere.

Yeah I’m up in Alpharetta now, but I’m all over the place. I do keep seeing modded 100s around so that’s pretty cool. Seemed it was only yeti in ga, griffin, and 2000UZJ a few years ago. Oh and don’t tell the Ga Cruisers, but I think I may still technically be the president lmaooo. I like those guys, very fun group.

You really are too kind, Sir. I appreciate your support and am so happy you enjoyed my adventure with Woody. I’m also glad I was able to trick you into thinking I have ANY land cruiser knowledge ;)

That’s my move, bro! Lay low, be discrete... right up until I’m not, big pimpin in the purple cruiser lmao.

Yep that’s his 80. We’ll keep an eye out. I don’t really like bringing anything of mine out on little rides. But I’ll definitely search for the hard lines and thrash my brothers truck lol.

@pfran42 is in your AO as well and is well entrenched in the 100 series

Just ordered a pretty basic OME kit from Metaltech along with some 295 KM3s. Of course the tires are backordered, but that gives me the time to amass a few more parts... maybe some new UCAs, rear links, Jason’s diff drop for sure.

Anything else I should consider?

I’d like to look into different shocks down the road, I’ve never been a huge fan of the OME nitros. I like the icons, but idk anything about shocks other than remote reservoirs look great!
