Grench
SILVER Star
It usually faces forward but we've been having wet heavy snow days that coat the front of the vehicle, block the headlights and stick to the snorkel grate. I could see an inch of snow/ice build up inside the snorkel so I turned it around. Oh yeah, and it's more streamlined![]()
Coming down from Colorado a couple of years ago with my snorkel pointed forward through a driving wet snowstorm. I had to pull off periodically to clean off my headlights. I also had to clear off the snorkel inlet as it was almost completely occluded with ice.
I usually keep mine faced toward the windshield now. No more issues. It admittedly looks a little odd - but I'm OK with that.
It's in a high pressure zone and not sucking in rain & snow that way. Best of both worlds.
