No current progress. This will come later in the build when I get frame blasted and painted. About to do the wheels and axles, so frame won't be far behind.
On a side note, I'm starting to make my lines and replacing the hoses, do you guys recommend putting any kind of sealer on the threads of both the hard line and hoses? I assume they should seal themselves but wanted to know before installing. Thanks!

Could you please explain the copper washer thing. I was told I didn't need them and I read you do? It's been so long since I've made Toyota brake lines, I want it right, before going on to other things.
Thanks Scrapdaddy, I do have a copper "crunch" washers on back line but not my front???? Looks like my front was changed out but not my rear. I'll have to examine both hose lines closely to see.

Here's where two copper washers are on my master:
(For the residual valve chambers)
And there's another two where the flexible lines meet the swivel hubs:
Maybe this illustration better shows where the last two are located:
As you can see, I have drums all around. But surely they must use a similar copper washer there where the flexible meets the disc calliper if you've got discs up front?
Right at the moment I can't think of where there are any more copper washers but my mind's a bit fogged up... LOL.
Edit: My mind's working better today .... At one end of every flexible brake hose on my 1979 a copper sealing washer is used. So that means there are two more in these locations (where my front and rear flexible hoses attach to the fittings on my diff casings):
I've used Fedhill's flare tool on my '32 Ford build and I've never seen anything do the double flare as easily or as well as this. I'm going to have to redo some of Custom Tube's (bent wrong) lines to finish my FJ40 project. It's rather steep and just looked and found they're out of stock but just use this as a bench standard to compare with. http://store.fedhillusa.com/007bbrakelineflaringtool.aspx
