Check out the -25 degree Teton bags at sportsman's warehouse. Awesome bags for 50 bucks. I carry that thing with me everywhere and have slept on the ground in it with 2" of snow on top of me when it was 12* outside. Don't get The 0* bag, I almost froze to death when it was 22* one night :(

I'll look those up. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi, everybody. My name is Jim, aka RockMtRunner. My wife Marylin and I became club members at the Jan 15 meeting. It was good to hear from Rick and meet other club members. At the meeting I met a nice fellow named Darrel, who drives a FJ 40, I think. Darrel and I are both retired and we were thinking about doing some trail riding together.

But I have a problem. I don't know how to connect someone's real name with his aka name in this form so I can PM that person. A PM is the only way I know to contact Darrel or any other member for that matter, aside from starting a new thread and hoping the person sees it. Is there a list of real names and aka's somewhere in the forum? Thanks

Hey Jim,

I'm not positive, but I think he goes by MountianRam here (https://forum.ih8mud.com/member.php?u=11025).

Really just a guess, but he has a White 40 for his icon and has the name Darryl, so..... I'd probably put money on the chance it's him. :)

As for getting a hold of people, I usually do as you mentioned and PM them. Then exchange contact info later.

Luke had a good idea and requested that everyone put their first names in their signatures to make communication easier (as I see you've done).

Hope that helps,

Jim,

Glad you made it out to the meeting and joined up! I wasn't able to make this one, but maybe we can come up with a solution. We do have a private section on the forum here that only club members can see. I know somebody is in charge of adding/deleting people from there. Since its restricted to members of the club only, maybe we could post a club roster w/ member ID's and possibly contact info. This may be something to bump to the main forum and I don't know if anybody has talked about this before.

Kyle

Thanks for info, guys. Now in touch with Darryl (MountainRam). Will check into the Rosetta Stone link for future use.

Hello

Hi guys,

I dropped by the meeting tonight and it was good to meet each of you. I am looking forward to getting out and wheeling with the club, and I think that I would like to join the club soon.

I am not sure if I can make it to China Wall on Saturday (but I will try) because my daughter will be selling Girl Scout cookies. I had hoped that my wife/daughter would be able to come along, too.

Anyway, I look forward to meeting the rest of the club and getting to know everyone better.

Andrew

Just talked to the boss.

She said 2 boxes of "Tag-a-Longs" (??? something like that) and 2 boxes of "Thin Mints"

Thanks!

I just packed them up for both of you. BTW, the going rate is 3.50 a box. Thank you!

Hi,

My fiancee' Heather and I just got our first FJ40, a 1976. We're looking at getting a bit of work done on it by Redline.

I'm currently working in Afghanistan, but am looking forward to doing some trail rides and meeting you guys for meetings when I get back!

Congrats on the 40, we have several in the club, from stock to modified. Look us up when you get back and go on some trail rides, be safe.

Hello! i just bought an fj80. Im picking it up out of Portland and driving home to Loveland in about 3 weeks. After that ill be ready to come out and wheel with you guys!! Way excited!!

80's and colorado are like peas and carrots :) nice choice! Watch our calendar and come on out. We're a little way from Loveland, but we come up that way every now and then.

Hello everyone,
I picked up a 1993 FZJ80 a couple weeks ago and stumbled onto this site, damn "you people" have a sickness and I think, I'm running a fever. I am still baselining my 80 and the list seems to keep growing, HAM radio license may just have been added.:p
I am looking forward to meeting you guys, hitting some trails and most likely busting some knuckles. I would really like to make it to Taylor Park this summer. I ride singletrack also(WR450) if anyone is into that.

Matt
