I'm new here so can someone tell me where abouts bear creek park is? Is it Bear creek lake park or Bear creek park?

Thanks
If you are in Westminster you may want to look up the Rising Sun toyota club in Denver. CLC is based in the Colorado Springs area and Bear Creek Park is an El Paso county park and is in the far southwest corner. You are more than welcome to join us but it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours :steer: from Westminster.

And you're right, Bear Creek Lake Park is in the Lakewood area off C-470.

Hey from Palmer Lake

Hello all. My name is Joe and I have a stock 97, 2nd owner. I use to have an 83 FJ in a 4x4 club in Panama. Can't believe I sold that puppy.

Anyway, my daughter has been driving it but she is going to college. I told my son we would put a lift on it, maybe some sliders, and start doing some camping and wheelin. I've always said it's better to go out as a team and not alone. So I hope there are a few of you looking for the same.

Anyway, I'll try to make the next meeting, whenver that may be.

Try to make our next meeting on the 19th and Buena Vista weekend camp out July 22-24.

Introduction

Howdy All,

I have lurked here for months, but have never registered or posted until tonight. I just got my first TLC - an '84 FJ-60, so I thought I'd get on here and get social. I had an '84 Toy pickup (mostly stock) and '85 Toy pickup (somewhat more than stock :D) prior to now.

I just moved back to Colorado after 20 years in California and Texas, and finally pulled the trigger on getting a TLC. I have read various threads on here enough to know there is a local Denver group (I'm in Aurora), I just don't know how to get in contact with the right folks just yet.

Anyway, the TLC is bone stock (so far) but I've got plans...

Buckaroo,

Good to hear from you. We are a Toyota based club so your pickups are welcome as well. We even have people without Toyota's on club runs.

Colorado Land Cruisers is based out of Colorado Springs. Rising Sun is the Toyota group based out of Denver. Here is a link to their website... Rising Sun Member Forums - Powered by vBulletin

Feel free to stop by our next club meeting which will be held at Bear Creek Park in Colorado Springs on August 16th or just plan on joining in one of the club runs.

Hey folks, new to cruisers and just made my purchase of a 75 FJ40. Would love to talk to other cruiser heads especially 40 series owners about my build :headspinning: I live in glenwood springs if there is anyone in the group up this way. I'm hoping to be done by spring of next year and hit the trails!!!!

Doug

Welcome,

I'm sure you can find someone on this site to talk to about FJ40's.

Hi, I am new to the Toyota scene after crossing over from a Range Rover Classic.
I just picked up an extremely clean stock LX 450 last week and am looking forward to building it up into an expedition vehicle for camping and exploring.
I have found the Colorado Land Cruisers site and will be joining shortly. I'm really looking forward to digging into the LX.
I'll be taking some pictures this week after this snow melts.

Dan

Welcome, looking forward to seeing you around. It will be nice to have another LX in the club.

That is a clean looking rig and only 156K miles, wow! Your vehicle shopping trip sounds very similar to one I did a few years ago. I flew out to Sacramento and bought a clean 1965 Mustang, for a restomod project and drove it back to Northern UT, where I was living at the time.

I run green coolant but from what I have read you need the old formulation which I get from NAPA. If you haven't found the threads yet I can send you the links.

Thanks I appreciate that. I have decided to just go with the factory red. I figured the cost isn't so bad spread out over two years.

Thanks. And thank you for the great guide books. I've used them many times.

Dan

New to MUD and CLC

Hey all, My name is Nat Triplett. I have a '69 FJ40 that I bought about 15 years ago. I have lived in Colorado Springs for 11 years, ever since I got out of the Navy. I am currently doing a frame up rebuild of my FJ so I may not be able to make any trips until late summer but I wanted to get involved with a club now so I can meet everyone and talk LC stuff.

My project includes:
- FJ60 axles front and rear
- 5.3L vortec and 4L60e
- SOA and SR front with custom 4-link rear
- 37" IROKs on KMC Enduro beadlocks
- Corbeau seats and belts
- Redline cage, bumpers, and doors
- Autometer gages and Painless wiring harness

Currently my naked frame is sitting in the garage waitng for a warm day to do more work.

See you all at the next meeting.
