Update:
Had the 13226 installed and it it louder than the OEM Muffler with a hole in it.
Ordered up the 13745 for $96 Shipped Amazon Prime and will be having it installed soon.
Guess we will find out if Amazon will take back the 13226, it was a total waste of time and money.
Must be for a 4 Cylinder.
You also might consider either keeping the original or using a new resonator along with the muffler to help control noise levels. Maybe you're already doing that?

Sorry to revive an older thread, but this seemed to be the most applicable to my question. I too have a rotted exhaust system, particularly the cats, but even the O2 sensors look like they went down with the Titanic. Based on this thread I'm looking to replace the Y-pipe back with these parts:

Magnaflow 23120
MagnaFlow XL 3 Chamber Mufflers 13745

Two questions though:

1. Where does the 2nd O2 sensor go? Obviously the 23120 has the input O2 sensor port, but I don't see the output O2 sensor port on the 13745. The output port is on the muffler intake pipe in the stock configuration - would I have to cut and reuse that section of pipe?

2. Is there a Magnaflow tail pipe that works out of the box? Or do people just buy a replacement OEM tail pipe?

Thanks!

Ashley

I replaced my exhaust yesterday. I had a leak at the Y-pipe and at the flanges for the cats. There were several broken hangers and both stock cats were bad and clogged up so it gave me plenty of reason to just redo the whole thing. I ended up using dual Magnaflow high-flow cats in the stock location but rotated and tucked up above the frame for better clearance. Also used a Magnaflow muffler and ditched the resonator at the tailpipe. All tubing is 2.5".

As for the routing it's more or less the same as stock but tucked up as best we could. This means it still passes under the frame behind the cats which isn't ideal but not something I'm worried about.

As for sound, it's louder than stock but not overly obnoxious. Definitely a more "throaty" tone through the entire range. It's very quiet at idle and while it's clearly audible at cruising speeds inside the truck it doesn't drone. Throttle response seems to be slightly better with my "seat-o-the-pants" analysis. Haven't had a chance to see if there is any mpg change yet.

Overall, pleased with the result and definitely a improvement of clearance at the cats which was my main complaint with the stock system.

Sorry for the crappy phone photos. Yes, I know I have a rear axle seal that's bad (fixing it tonight). Also you'll hear my starter clicking at the beginning of the video. It's also getting replaced (since I know someone will bring it up).

@Box Rocket
Bumping an old thread...
What part numbers are both of those Magnaflow cats? I only see the forward cat in the link in the post above.

It looks like for CARB compliant '95-'97 FZJ80's the direct fit cats are;
front cat, with "Y-pipe" part # 447103
MagnaFlow Direct Fit Catalytic Converters 447103
rear cat, part # 447217.
MagnaFlow Direct Fit Catalytic Converters 447217

These part #'s are from the CARB info sheet below and Summit Racings website.

For non CARB compliant '95-'97 FZJ80's
the direct fit cats are;
Front cat with "Y-pipe" is part # 23120
MagnaFlow Direct Fit Catalytic Converters 23120
Rear cat is part # 23622
MagnaFlow Direct Fit Catalytic Converters 23622
