I have a basically stock 2010 lx570 with 230k on the clock . I'm running 275/65/18 on landcruiser wheels. What's the life expectancy of the suspension? Mine is still all original and seems to be working fine still. Anyone else on original suspension parts at this or mile mileage?

I have a 13 lx with 165k miles. I also have 2016 lc 18 inch wheels. 285 60 18. Michelins defenders. I Just finished a 1200 mile trip. I don’t feel any issues.

I do have three struts that are weeping. They have been weeping for 35k miles. I have purchased struts, mounts, globes, and ahc suspension fluid in cans. Just need to get it done.

I would find it hard to believe that it is NOT due for a replacement (strut and globes) at that miles on such a heavy truck.

Check for weeping, if you can't see it lift the tires off the ground to check further.

I have no weeping from globes or individual shocks. System seems to be just fine.

You should find a low mile LX to ride in to compare. I’m betting even if your struts are ok the globes must be tired by now.

Globes are probably toast. Some new globes and fresh fluid should definitely have you noticing a difference.

I have a 2010 with 213k on it (all 4 shocks weeping for god knows how long)
Friend has a heritage with less than 10k on it

Both bone stock

We switched trucks for curiosity reasons to check exactly this.

First:
My front springs have sagged 3/4" vs his. Rears both the same

On Road, speed bumps, road dips:
Negligible difference, mine had a little more wallow, but not much

Offroad (simple fire road):
NIGHT AND DAY. HIs felt tight and smooth, mine was very choppy and loose. Was noticeable immediately!

Guessing all my control bushings are shot and worn, as well as the sway bar links and such, which i planned to replace anyway.

Probably wasnt as noticable ON road because truck is so heavy and planted.

Just my .04 (inflation)

Following. 155K on my '11 LX. As mentioned by someone above, I am going to order the globes and fluid soon. I am sagging a bit on the front driver's side. I've watched the videos, not looking forward to doing the work because I typically screw things up but that's never stopped me before. if anyone has a solid overseas ebay vendor, let me know!

Stupid question: how do you identify weeping struts?

Stole the pic from a member here but they will look like this, to some degree:

I’d add that the huge differences in how the “springs” in LC vs LX work make the LX more prone to degradation with time & miles, all else being equal.

And this is made worse by its ability to monitor and maintain ride height. So as the coils sag, even more load is put onto the globes, increasing their rate of wear. Whereas on the LC as the springs wear they sag and the need for attention is more obvious.

If you're up for it, it would be worth the effort to replace the accumulator globes and bleed the system with fresh AHC flud.

Do the shocks wear like conventional shocks?
No, much of the damping is done by hardware external to the shock. @TeCKis300 tore down one of these shocks in the past, but I'm having trouble finding the posts.
