It was definitely an accessory option. Here’s the install guide and they were definitely in the early LC brochures. The LX got a forged wheel option as well, but it was 22”. Also came standard on the Tundra Sport supercharged trucks.

Method has some 24 lb ones in 25 offset (which works well w 285 75 17) and 25 lb 35 offset one (which work even better and also have the “bead grip” feature).
Imo the 25 lb method 705 35 offset, given the wheels on the market, are the ideal lx570 replacement wheel.

Unpopular choice but does anyone have pics of 20"s aftermarket or OE on some A/T's? I'm looking at a set of 18s and 20s but the 20s are offered in a better offset. +50 on the 18s and 2 options of +45 and +35 for the 20s both are 9.5" wide. I love the look of 18s but hate the fact that the offset is so low and i don't want to run a spacer.

- suspension in normal mode

I agree that the 705's are nice in the +35mm. That is what I am running.
Method has a few +40mm 18"
Standby for pictures. Rather new to IH8MUD but finally official I guess you could say (Own a 17' LX570). Have always wanted a LC200/LX and finally got one this week. First round of upgrades- Tint - done, Vossen HF7 22"wheels with 285/45/22 Falken Wildpeaks on order. Chrome Delete around the car is also on the list. Will post pictures soon.
Great thread! I just picked up a 2014 LX on New Year’s Eve for a great price and 80k miles local Lexus dealer serviced and one owner entire life. Tough decision either going OEM TRD or aftermarket. I had to buy tires immediately for the stock 20” wheels because of wear. I just went with something they had in stock in OEM size. Nitro Recon Grappler. Is it far fetched of me to use the 20” OEM wheels for mild overlanding and 90% highway untill I get some 17” or 18”

Kept wondering what a 2016+ LX570 would look like with the bronze Heritage Edition 18 inch BBS wheels.
I checked multiple threads but couldn't find the silver color with the bronze wheels anywhere so I went and made it myself.
If anyone else is wondering, the tires are 275/70/18 Terra Grapplers. Plug and play and rides well.

This is a good look. I went for a similar look with my blue lx, with the same size Toyo A/T tires and the bronze Method 701 wheels instead of toyota HE. Was inspired by Forerunner’s photos here. Will post pics of mine when it’s ready. Hope it turns out as good as these do!
Might offend someone, but these Heritage wheels look better on the late body style LX, than the LCs.
20s work great on this big bodied car, all the way into more extreme tire sizes. I get the focus is all too often on "off-roading" but there's advantages for sure with larger wheels including more stability, handling, braking, cornering, towing, etc.
The other all too common perspective is just looking profile shots. Don't forget that tire width matters (a lot) too, for many of the same reasons. Even more so when increasing center of gravity with taller tires. The 200-series is full fat in weight, and that's a job for full fat tires if performance and handling, or even safety, matters.
