I have this on going issue with my parking brakes. I adjusted the parking brake pads at least 4 times but it didn't solve the problem. Finally I even lower the adjustment screw all the way down on both sides. Still whenever I disengage the parking brakes and I am about to drive, the rear wheel starts squeaking noise. I have to pull the hand lever and release it at least 3 or 4 times till it stops squeaking.
Parking brake pads aren't new but are fairly in good condition. Some of the brake material from the rear left parking brake pad got chipped away.
I can not stop myself from using parking brake whenever I park the car. Once in a while when I don't engage parking brake then I don't have any issue.
Any input would be appreciated.
