Been feeling a rougher ride in my 2003 LX470, which is in the furthest comfort setting, and Lexus has serviced it and told me nothing was wrong with it, and pretty much felt the same in another LX470 I rode in, but with even more miles than mine, 60k more than mine to be exact. I have done some research into the stage 3 icon (linked below) paired with new control arms since i know this kit levels out the front rake but this would rack up 3975 labor included with all the parts anyone else rode in a lx/lc 470-570 or 100-200 with the 2.5 VS RR CDCV? important note to this im only interested in this kit because of the CDCV.

I've had experience with ICON shocks on two trucks - my Ram3500 and my son's Tacoma. They were on when I bought the trucks. The shocks are good when new, but need to be rebuilt at a cost of around $250 each, and to add to that, the turnaround time is weeks. The Dodge needs rebuilds every 15k miles or so. The Tacoma is needing rebuild now at around 40k miles. I would never buy them.

I also have a 2003 LX470. Turn your comfort switch to the softest setting and drive it. If you experience front end bouncing on somewhat rough roads then you need spheres/balls/accumulators. It should be soft but not bouncy. Mine got so bad that I had to put it in Sport to tame most of the bounce. I put in four new spheres and it made a world of difference in all suspension settings. All four total about $575 when ordered from overseas. Just looking at the spheres that I took off they "look" perfect but they've lost most of their nitrogen pre-charge.

Just refreshed my AHC a few months ago. New globes, bushings on front shocks, new fluid, etc…..rides better than our GX 460 or 2nd gen Sequoia!

I’d be shocked if the dealer actually knew what they were doing with AHC.
Yeah its one of the larger dealers in Houston, got to speak with the mechanic and he used to drive a lx470 and didn’t notice anything but its just hard to find reliable mechanics sometimes, im able to do bolts and screws just not anything that involves fluids minus an oil change.

Do you have a link or seller contact? Did you do the labor yourself aswell?

Honestly think the front just might feel rough because of the weight of my Ironman bumper (no winch installed).

glad to here some AHC lovers around. Not to hijack but going to snag my 3rd 100 tomorrow and its actually a 470, will be my first with AHC and was on the fence about just running it or ditching it all together for a more conventional set up on my 99 and 98

AHC is the best. I've maintained mine and added load capacity with OEM non-ahc springs/torsions. Being able to drop into LO for parking garages is very handy.

I bought them from IMPEX JAPAN — online new genuine spare parts shop - https://en.impex-jp.com You have to make an account BEFORE you can see prices and even search for parts successfully. No big deal though. All four globes were about $460 + shipping in January of this year. You'll need two 49151-60010 and two 49151-60010. I installed them myself. I used a ~gallon of AHC fluid that I sourced from a Toyota dealer for around $50. I'm so glad that I kept my AHC system.
