Looking at this picture, you might find yourself saying “ did that donkey just cut a piece out of a cutting board?” You would be correct

Super easy, this big vehicle has so much room for everything. Hardest part is deciding how to get by the rubber sleeve connecting the door to the body.
Because I am a public school kid, I messed up and had to route it twice. The first time I had patience and I worked the RCA through the rubber sleeve, the second time I just went around it.

Oh and get a cable at least 10ft longer than the long one offered by Teyes. I had to put an extension on it that has caused some minor interference in the signal.

I ordered my t'eyes 11/16, and installed it about a week ago now.

Do you guys think i need to do a firmware update or factory reset? On one hand i would expect them to come out of the factory with updated firmware but on the other i expect laziness nowadays and wouldn't be surprised if it was booted with the original software and no updates. Don't want to mess something up doing it if it's not necessary.
Haven't had any issues aside from small things like carplay not connecting quickly and consistently after booting, which could be related to how fast a bluetooth connection is made. Sometimes the a/c controls can be slow to react after starting as well.

Man this thing would be cool with starlink internet plumbed into it for when you're out on the trail in BFE!

Getting ready to button up the last few things and have a couple questions remaining still,
2005 LX470. I had setup C, factory nav, climate, ect.

Harness C comes with two Male RCA connectors (L/R White/Red) on it. What is the purpose of these, should they be plugged in somewhere or to something?
Harness C also has a Male Yellow RCA connector on it, what is this for, and where do i plug it in. I'm assuming it plugs into the female yellow RCA that was part of the canbus harness, but i had this unplugged for awhile and didn't notice anything different.

I got the adaptor to combine both antennae into one wire, but i'm wondering what the afformentioned "hardware fix" for the antennae issue is. Mine only goes up when pressing the FM button on the original radio, which brings up that awful radio app which doesn't work.

Finally, think my sub was dead, decided to check it and found it wasn't working at all. Voltmeter across + and - showed nothing as if the circuit was broken. Probing the harness from the amp showed 14 mv? so it has power. Any chance this is a misconfiguration issue? I did not need to adjust the two gray wires on my harness to get rear sound, it was working from the getgo.

RCA white/red should be aux input, wired mine to a 3.5 mm female plug already present from the old grom system. pretty sure the yellow RCA is loose, plenty of install photos in the thread to cross-reference.

Check the sub volume in the sound settings and/or the equalizer app. Mine was set to zero on initial install, just need to be turned up to a reasonable level.

I have been having trouble lately with my wireless Android auto not connecting. I haven't been able to figure out a pattern so it is tough to debug. Whenever it happens I have to go to settings, open up the app, and force stop it, as soon as I restart the car link app it works fine. Has anyone else encountered this?
Yes, and it has been driving me crazy. Can't figure out a pattern either - sometimes connects, sometimes not. I am in contact with T'eyes tech support so we'll see where that goes...

Hello everyone.
I left the original rear camera in place and bought this one....:
After cutting the wires (seting wires on new camera), you will get wide-angle beautiful picture.
The camera supplied with the Teyes is bad.
I used the original cable from the passenger's seat (plug under the seat) to the camera.

I am satisfied with teyes, everything works.

I'd be interested to see if this works for anyone else.

I’m interested in this too. I tried a few of these options albeit not this one and I couldn’t get any of them to fit in the OEM hole. They all rattled loose but the picture quality was fine.

Did they work directly without tapping into a reverse light or changing volatage? I'm sure I can work out something to make them fit the hole.

I didn't see a hitch ball or trailer in the camera that came with the Teyes.
With the new camera I can see the ball, the whole trailer with a wide area with a good image.

Turning on the reverse camera via canbus did not work.
Bot even with the teyes camera, no diferenc.
I took the voltage from the reverse lights through the diode and connected it to the Teyes
Voltage is also present under the passenger seat in the connector by the original camera.

For those that have the Teyes are you happy with it? Would you go the OEM Nav Delete conversion route if you could do it over? It looks like it’s about 1/4 of the price but I’m on the fence what’s the best option for my 06 LX.

I would absolutely do it again. I’ve been more than happy. I’ve had it for about two years and I’ve done a couple rounds of updates with the Teyes software and they’ve been very good. I have a 2006 as well and the OEM parts needed for the conversion you speak of were really difficult to find. Some of them I couldn’t find, and some of the prices were so high that the Teyes conversion was cheaper.
The bezel that Teyes looks great, a lot of people ask me what year the car is because they think the installation looks OEM.

Ditto, would definitely do it again. It's a transformative upgrade which brings the headunit/nav in to the modern age.
Installed in my 06 LX around 2 years ago and it's working nicely. You should definitely be prepared for some tinkering/updates initially, but it's likely to work well with your particular model.

Has anyone installed one with added 360 camera upgrade? If so how was the install and how do you like it?

Is AliX the best place to buy them?

I bought from Teyes direct to make sure I had support and I didn’t do the 360 camera system because it seemed excessive and I don’t want a branch ripping something off.
