Just saw your second post! Looks good haha! How hard was it to route the new wiring?I took the OEM one out and customized a piece of plastic to fill that hole and screwed in the teyes back up camera. I can send a picture later.
Oh and get a cable at least 10ft longer than the long one offered by Teyes. I had to put an extension on it that has caused some minor interference in the signal.Super easy, this big vehicle has so much room for everything. Hardest part is deciding how to get by the rubber sleeve connecting the door to the body.
Because I am a public school kid, I messed up and had to route it twice. The first time I had patience and I worked the RCA through the rubber sleeve, the second time I just went around it.
Good to know. Will order the 10ft section.Oh and get a cable at least 10ft longer than the long one offered by Teyes. I had to put an extension on it that has caused some minor interference in the signal.
RCA white/red should be aux input, wired mine to a 3.5 mm female plug already present from the old grom system. pretty sure the yellow RCA is loose, plenty of install photos in the thread to cross-reference.Getting ready to button up the last few things and have a couple questions remaining still,
2005 LX470. I had setup C, factory nav, climate, ect.
Harness C comes with two Male RCA connectors (L/R White/Red) on it. What is the purpose of these, should they be plugged in somewhere or to something?
Harness C also has a Male Yellow RCA connector on it, what is this for, and where do i plug it in. I'm assuming it plugs into the female yellow RCA that was part of the canbus harness, but i had this unplugged for awhile and didn't notice anything different.
I got the adaptor to combine both antennae into one wire, but i'm wondering what the afformentioned "hardware fix" for the antennae issue is. Mine only goes up when pressing the FM button on the original radio, which brings up that awful radio app which doesn't work.
Finally, think my sub was dead, decided to check it and found it wasn't working at all. Voltmeter across + and - showed nothing as if the circuit was broken. Probing the harness from the amp showed 14 mv? so it has power. Any chance this is a misconfiguration issue? I did not need to adjust the two gray wires on my harness to get rear sound, it was working from the getgo.
Yes, and it has been driving me crazy. Can't figure out a pattern either - sometimes connects, sometimes not. I am in contact with T'eyes tech support so we'll see where that goes...I have been having trouble lately with my wireless Android auto not connecting. I haven't been able to figure out a pattern so it is tough to debug. Whenever it happens I have to go to settings, open up the app, and force stop it, as soon as I restart the car link app it works fine. Has anyone else encountered this?
I'd be interested to see if this works for anyone else.Hello everyone.
I left the original rear camera in place and bought this one....:
After cutting the wires (seting wires on new camera), you will get wide-angle beautiful picture.
The camera supplied with the Teyes is bad.
I used the original cable from the passenger's seat (plug under the seat) to the camera.

OPTION E
I am satisfied with teyes, everything works.

I’m interested in this too. I tried a few of these options albeit not this one and I couldn’t get any of them to fit in the OEM hole. They all rattled loose but the picture quality was fine.I'd be interested to see if this works for anyone else.
Did they work directly without tapping into a reverse light or changing volatage? I'm sure I can work out something to make them fit the hole.I’m interested in this too.
