In the middle of an installation to a 05LC. Does the head unit accept a SIM card for a 4G or 5G connection? Not clear on that.

Yep. There's a slot in the unit and a remote connection via wire you can run to the glovebox. I have not used either though.

Yes its dual sims. One in the unit and one at the end of one of the cables.

Im just finish the install on my LX470 2004 as well. Only issue is no AM radio reception. FM is fine. checked and rechecked connections. Could I be missing a software setting? Any ideas?

That is one issue I haven't heard before. I haven't tried to get any am stations on my radio, I think. Sorry, I have no idea.

Depends on which radio and MFD you have. On mine (see below), only one plug (middle top) from the MFD was needed for AC. The radio had two go into the supplied harness adapter, one for power (bottom right) and one for steering wheel controls (bottom middle). Small plug on radio goes to rear console. Small plug on MFD goes to stock reverse camera, I think. The main plug that supplies power to MFD didn't go to any connector on my adapter harness. Your extra adapter harness plug didn't connect to anything on mine either.

I have the same stock radio. I finally got my AC working but I can’t figure out how to get sound. I’ve been messing with all the plugs from the harness but nothing seems to be working. It’s really frustrating.

Ok figured it out. Turns out the stock radio some how reset the volume to zero. I turned the knob and I I finally got sound. I swear I turned it up before taking it out. So now I have AC and sound.

Does anyone else have power constantly on through the USB1 cable? When I turn off my vehicle my iPhone will still be charging through the cable. The unit is completely off but still sends power to charge.

Yep. I haven't timed it, but it does cut out after a while.

I think there is an internal battery so the screen doesnt boot up everytime it just comes back from standby

I have a european 2006 LC 100 series 4.2 diesel. Installed the CC3 and the unit itself works great. However -no AC or steering controls functioning. I see that there is Canbus V2 update from August 2022 ,but I'm not able to install it! Is there a workaround to get this done? Anyone else who has got it to work for a late 2006 model?

I have tried all connections. I have also tried connecting the Canbus with only one port in and it makes no difference other that I'm actually getting anteann/FM fucntion when not having the 2-lead (pink and green) connected to the canbus-box.

Full reset once. No change.

Climate display shows, but no response.

I got the same 'app not installed' error when I was trying to install those updates, trying to solve my aircon problems. My problem was one of the wires on that canbus connector shown in your picture. They all looked good until I looked very closely and saw that one pin was pushed back slightly compared to the others. It hadn't been inserted fully, and I guess would sometimes make contact, and sometimes not. Fully inserting that pin within the connector solved my air con and steering wheel controls problem.

Note - I was never able to make sense of the steering wheel control interface on the device. It looks like I should be able to configure what each button on the steering wheel does, but in fact I can't change anything. The default functions all work (volume up/down, forward / backwards track etc). I mention that in case you are using that interface to judge if your steering wheel controls are working.

I have both ports plugged in on the canbus interface.

@wildsmith Thanks! Will check that! I see that others mentions that the 06 is different to others. You have a 04 I could see from your signature.

I need to check all the pins on my harnesses and canbus. See if that's the source of issues on mine. No volume knob, and a slight hiss. Everything else works great.

@wildsmith I see now that I actually have Sw: V2 installed on my Canbus unit? Printed on the box. Hw1, Sw: v2. Is this the same as the canbus update I can do from the screen?

They are now carrying a disclaimer on the hum and volume knob due to all the hard work from everyone on this thread. But they are acknowledging it and seem committed to finding the Bug.
This would be a big issue for LCs unless someone figured out a way around it.

It seems the volume of the factory amp is not controlled through the teyes head unit. Did anyone install an aftermarket amp with or without speakers? I was thinking of installing an amp and getting rid of the factory amp and GPS things under the front passenger seat. But after playing with the teyes with its poor software, I want to lose the way back to the factory in case.

I don't know - I didn't notice what was printed on my canbus box, but that could be why the update won't install.

All works now! I had mistankely connected a 6 pin connector for the canbus in the C port....
Interesting that you were able to plug one of the connectors into the wrong place. I wonder if anyone else's problems are caused by that.

I think there are a couple connectors into the Teyes unit itself with a similar shape
