Just wanted to introduce myself, name is Micah and I FINALLY found my FZJ! its a locked 97 white Colorado truck with right over 200k on the clock. Came with a 4" slee lift, 35" KM2's, Slee rear bumper, custom unfinished front bumper, Safari intake and Hanna sliders. Just want to say my thanks for the invaluable information that this site has provided on my search.

Already started on the mods, dropped by Slee last Thursday and picked up a Bumper and a few other misc items, here are a few shots of taking off the bumper and dryer, lines will be shipped to Coolstream for a relocation setup :D
Also picked up a Synthetic line from Slee and I am just waiting my my Warn winch to come in

Have a few maintenance items to take care of, most importantly is a full rebuild of the front axle, bearings/seals are shot. LOVE THIS TRUCK! :flipoff2:

Very nice! Love the color combo of white with silver cladding. Someone took the white to the extreme when they sprayed the rack and spoiler! Appears to be a good match though. Also, don't scrap the home-fabbed' bumper---someone will give you some $$ for that for sure.

Did you buy this truck from another 'Mudder?

Jwp

Yeah not sure who did the roof rack and spoiler but the PO said he got it that way, but it does look pretty good in person. I have the bumper on CL and would never dream of scraping it, looks to be really well made, just not to my liking.
I did buy it from a Mudder but he was very rarely on the site, he happened to come across my WTB post in the classifieds.

Welcome and nice Rig! If you're where I think you are, I'll probably see you around. I drive by those town homes a few times each week (although my truck is down right now for HG R&R...). Also, HeftyFabworks is right down the road if you need any fab work!

Never heard of HeftyFabworks but ill check them out, have a few small things that I am thinking about getting built. Hope to see you around :D

Yeah, they do a lot with Nissans and Fords... Not so much for the LCs, but they do a lot of custom fabrication as well.

Saw you are running Duratracs, how do you like them? I am actually having a set installed today(35's) and will be selling the KM2's on CL

Love them. They are an excellent tire for DD. I also have about 9K on them and the wear is hardly noticeable. The KM2's will perform better off road, but I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Duratracs.

Sweet, I am planning to do a bit DD with the truck and the KM'2 are just too loud. I am comfortable that the duratracs will take me farther off road than my skill level :D

I have the exact same colour scheme. I like how the wind deflector blends in. Although I have an aluminum roof rack on top as the PO never got around to the rear bumper he was planning. Spare tire sits on the roof rack making it a REALLY tall truck.

Check out the website and stop by for a meeting some time or a trail run.:steer:

Why are you pulling them off? Im thinking about sizing up on the rims next go around and not quite ready to spend the $ on both rims and tires yet. Im about due for tires and would be interested in a used set. Can you PM me what your asking? I can meet in Denver or possibly the springs as well.

Sorry, just saw post #12. Still interested as I'm looking for something like this so maybe the wife will stop driving the 80.

Nice ride. I bet it was a lot cheaper to buy it built rather than sheding out the cash and installing everything yourself.

I bought Micah's old bumper from him and got to check out his rig up close. Really nice example of what you can do to one of these. Thanks again for the bumper, it was nice to bs with you for a while.
