ATXBOUG - thanks for the detailed feedback on your Rides install. What color did you select for yours - it looks pretty close to original color.

What did you come up with? I've read here or elsewhere that folks cut the stitching and re-used the old attachment. I have the same Ridies sitting in a box and have been waiting to get to my upholstery guy, mainly not wanting to have to confront this problem, and potentially have to sew.Has anyone personally installed these Ridies covers? The attachment seems to be completely different and no way it could connect to the bar on the driver's seat back frame(original white plastic is far bigger).
Been lurking on this thread since it started and it is the reason I bought these. Any insight would be appreciated!

Any solution to this step? I'm stuck here!!!
I ended up doing exactly what flintknapper mentioned, swapped the plastic attachments and stapled it on very carefully. Would take a pic but they're already installed and covered up.Any solution to this step? I'm stuck here!!!

what? now I'm confused... that simple? and that cheap??I haven’t read most of this thread because I already did my seats two years ago, but word of advice to anyone looking to get this done: find an upholstery shop in the ghetto of your nearest big city. I paid $850 for front and second row seats in leather, installed. I didn’t have to do a single thing but pay the man. They turned out beautiful and I didn’t have to lift a finger.

It was for me. Shop around and don’t assume an upholstery shop is too expensive until you call and ask. The one I found was in a mostly unmarked building that had “auto upholstery” spray painted over the single garage door in a back alley in Houston. The dude didn’t speak a word of English, but his assistant did. He was the nicest guy and did excellent work. I knew for a fact I wasn’t going to do the seats myself nor would I pay $800 plus for what I consider crappy seat covers. My foam was destroyed and needed to be rebuilt significantly. He didn’t even charge extra for the foam repair, he considered it all one job. Good luck, search high and low and you will find someone.what? now I'm confused... that simple? and that cheap??
