I hope this is the right section to post this in. I looked around and didn't find anything specific to LS swapped rigs.

I was trying to adjust my idle tonight and pushed the throttle open so I could get to the adjustment screw a little easier. My fingers slipped and the throttle slapped shut and now will not budge. Is there something I need to reset, pull, tap, etc? I'm sure it's a simple answer, I just don't want to go pushing hard or tapping on something and cause damage.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I’ve got an LS swapped 60 with a DBC TB, the only way to adjust the idle on these is to have the IAC settings changed by a tuner

I would disconnect both the sensors and see if that frees it up. If not then you may have damaged the spring somehow.

It has a screw on the side that can slightly adjust the idle, as it is a cable throttle. That’s what I was adjusting. I will try and remove the sensors.

The spring seems to move freely. That was my first thought as well.

Little more info on how to adjust it
Very good info, and thanks! I guess I need to find someone to tune this thing for me! I don't have the knowledge and I suppose the software to do so.

I disconnected both sensors and it’s still jammed shut. May have to hit it with my purse.

Update since I hate it when people don’t close out a thread. I removed the throttle body, took off the sensors, and disengaged the spring. Using a punch with a poly tip, I gave the top flap a few taps and it finally came free. It seems to work now, but I haven’t driven it yet. I probably could have done it on the truck, but I didn’t want to break something and it’s not possible to disengage the spring with it mounted on the intake.

As for tuning, I’ll be calling a shop just down the road from me Monday about getting it tuned. The idle is too low on it and it bogs down when fully warmed up and idling. Especially if I have the AC on.

Thanks all!
