Looking for replacement leather options for my 96 LX450

Got the color swatches from lseat.com in yesterday's mail. My wife and I will likely argue about colors/combinations/piping/etc for a while and I will wind up ordering what she likes. I plan to get new lower cushions for both front seats and maybe seat heaters too. I have a local shop that will do the install.

I placed an order with lseats.com about a week ago. I went through Amazon so I got free shipping. They sent me the same samples. After a few days of staring at samples and comparing in different lights I decided on the Bisque with perforated center section in the Dark beige. The console cover is also included in Bisque. The total was $299 + $30 for the perforated center section.

As soon as I get them in ill get some pictures posted.

How did you purchase through Amazon for the free shipping? Do they use a different vendor name on Amazon? Can you provide a Link?

I said in an earlier post that I ordered from lseat.com, I actually ordered from Seatsshop on Amazon. When Seatsshop sent the the leather samples it was the samples from lseat.com. I'm not sure If Seatsshop is lseat.com's Amazon company or if they just use lseat.com's leather samples.

I can't imagine a company sending out samples with competitors Information all over it though.

I received mine a couple days go. I'm leaning towards Lark. The texture isn't close but at least the color is. I also just received some leather cleaner/conditioner from leatherique and will decide after cleaning the 2nd row.
At first I thought the Lark matched best also. After a few days staring at the samples the Bisque seemed to match better. I went back and forth a finally just made a decision.

I only received two individuals interested in the discount buy. I forwarded their names to Lseat for the discount code

Yes, it was through Seatsshop

The color when you place the order doesn't matter. They send you leather samples and you confirm what matches best, and if you want anything custom. I received an email last night that said mine is almost finished. I confirmed my order on 11/11/14, so I figure it takes 10 days to make and another week for shipping.
I'm still not sure how you got free shipping. I even have Amazon Prime, and the link you provided through SeatShop shows $29 for shipping. Would like to know how you found free shipping.

FYI, I am going to accumulate the info and send it in after we get confirmation of the quality of these, so send me your LSEAT login name and I will get a list going.

To answer questions, Yes, I am planning to pull the covers off my car and send them into Lseat as patterns, unless anyone else has a set (has to be good quality, not torn up) that is ready to go.

I plan to do this after hearing about the quality of the product.

I am prepared to order today. I'm going with LARK at my wife's suggestion. Solid color, no piping, plain and simple. Looking into replacement seat bottoms as well as heaters for the bottoms and back. 2F, you should have my contact info already.

I am now leaning towards Bisque also.

Are y'all doing something with the cushions?

2fpower - I wanted to let you know that I am providing Lseat with the LX450 3rd row covers to pattern. Then they will have all three rows for the LX. They had to resend me the color swatches, then I'm ready to go.

I am very interested as well but I want to see the covers mounted and I have a 95 TLC. I know others have said the foam is different between the TLC and the LX450.

My front seats have severe cracks in the leather and I need to do something soon. I'm considering duct tape and generic seat covers from Amazon.

Have code for you two.

Will pm it.

What about replacing the foam in the seats? Does he also do the back seat?

I did Shane's Leather this summer and, despite significant frustrations with communication with him they seats turned out great in my LX. Be advised the LC Tan color is NOT the same shade as the Ivory in the LX and the cushions are very different. I went with his brown and am very happy.

As far as the cushions...I was told my OEM drivers side lower cushion was the 2nd to the last available in the USA when I purchased it from Lexus last spring. Lexus said, at that time, the passenger upper and the driver's upper were still available. They are fuller and pleated differently that the LC version. So you may need to have a good upholsterer fab a driver's lower up for you.

Lastly, Shane's kits are excellent BUT you need to also know that the holes for the electrical seat controls nor the head rests ARE NOT cut out from him and some have ruined their covers by not making exact cuts. Learning this, despite being fairly handy, I had a local upholsterer install mine. Cost was about $700.00 for labor for two rows and the console top. I did the arm rests myself but the console cover required my upholsterer to use a steamer to look right.
