Looking for replacement leather options for my 96 LX450

I was told that Katzkin no longer carried the pattern for the 80 series Land Cruiser.
The absolutely do. They likely don't stock the seat covers pre-sewn, but will make a set upon order. If the website doesn't list the 80-Series option, just call them. They made mine in about a week or so, and even sent me a full catalog of sample leather colors beforehand. Also got a little extra material so I could recover the center armrest in darker leather.

your covers look great! Do you have a price breakdown for us?

Got the front seats done. Great color. 85-90% good fit on a new seat bottom cushion (driver side is the only one I could find). They had to modify and add foam for DS back cushion and PS bottom and back, those were 75%. I'll wrench on anything (not always successfully)...I'd say I'm a solid 2:banana: mechanic. I'm very glad I had my upholstery guy take care of it, however. Got seat heaters in the deal too! Overall I'm very happy with the feel and look of the Lseat covers.

My upholstery guy said the leather quality is great, but the leather is much thicker than most aftermarket leather. This accounted for some of the difficulty because they wouldn't heat up as well to smooth out or flex.

Additionally, the hole for the power seat control didn't fit quite right and the thick leather was messing with the power adjustable seat control s. Not really a big deal after some adjustments.

Overall I'm very satisfied with the seats. For the price, you can't beat em. 9/10.

Hope this helps inform you all in your search for leather seats. I only have a few pics texted to me during the install. I'll get more soon of them in.

Also I have to get more of the same color leather for the doors...I love the brown.

in for pics!

I got the front seat covers on Amazon made from lseat.com.

For $300 plus shipping, very happy. I installed myself and added the seat heaters too

Did you cover your console lid from lseat? What color did you use? It seems to match the console pretty good.

I used Lseat.com and love it. I recovered the front seats and center console. The leather isn't the highest quality but for $300 I am very satisfied. Just replacing the leather alone made the seats much softer and comfortable.

Has anyone though of getting perforated leather and adding some fans? I guess you would have to also cut your foam to fit the fans:

Man, ventilated seats would be nice. I don't think you can get much air through leather perforations but any air flow would make a hige effect. Cutting foam wouldn't be hard but longevity would be a concern
... as would comfort.

Just installed my front leather seats in my 97 land cruiser from Land Cruiser Heaven. I went with the full leather option and the 40th color pattern. The shop that did the install said they were some of the best kits they have ever installed. The leather was excellent quality and the fit was perfect. I am totally pleased with them. 100%.

I used the set for my LC but they have an LX450 specific set as well (slightly different stitching I think)

Ordered from Lseat on December 16 for my LX. This is the 2nd time Ive ordered and I had a good experience the first time. After swapping a few emails, I sent them my gear shifter, 4wd shifter, console lid, and door arm rest to recover them to match. I sent my Interior pieces to "Ping Yang" in Houston, Texas. The name, and the trade make me think that maybe they have a hard time with English and thats why they like to communicate in Email.

Update 1/6/2016. Received an email and tracking #Leather has been shipped and will be here on 1/9/2016

Updates to come.

I have heated / cooled inserts in my LX450. Best thing ever in a Texas summer, and I'm enjoying them in this Texas winter too. $600 / seat installed at my upholstery shop, and in my opinion very much worth it.

I didn't use these guys, but this video shows exactly what I have.
