Guys,

I'd like to know if it's possible to find a pair of jack that can take the place of the current trailer jack. As you can see the ones I have now, simply slide out but they can't be adjusted for leveling purposes.

What I'm looking for is a trailer jack that has a crank handle on the side, near the center vs on top. Does such an animal exist? This new jack will need to be able to rotate out of the way as well.

The typical tongue jack w/o the wheel is great but the handle on top is giving me fits as I don't have the clearance.

Here's what I have. When not being used, the jack is rotated to the right and sits horizontally.

Thanks for any ideas.

Unfortunately, the handle on top is the killer. I don't have the head room to crank the handle :crybaby: If it was more toward the middle, that'd be fantastic!

Thanks.

I now it sounds kind of cooter but why not just weld a junk yard scissor jack between the trailer and what you have?

You need to find a side wind jack instead of a top wind.

It'll get torn off! The current jack spans a distance of about 24" and folds out of the way completely during traveling.

So the upgraded factory stabilzer legs are off the list of options for my Kamperoo.

That's a bit of generalization you shouldn't make based on my needs. Do I really need the hand crank style of jacks? No. Would it be nice to have since I have nothing else to work on because I'm bored? Well, yes. :D

It's not that hard to level the Kamparoo by simply driving on a piece of wood. This is purely an optional thing I'm seeking and one that would require some welding to fit the Kamparoo.

I was just saying that if I buy a Kamperoo I wouldn't pay for the stabilizr upgrade. I've had crank jacks on all my Travel trailers, they make life easy.

If your bored you could come over and fix the broken rear diff on my FJ40. :flipoff2:
