Hey, I'm looking for a front bumper for my 80 series, it is definitely a old beater rig so i don't want to spend anything to much over 500 bucks. I was hoping you guys would have so good recommendations!

Might be hard to find one for 500 or under. I just did my rear bumper from cruisinoffroad.com and really happy with it, but it was just under 3 k. Not much help sorry...

there was a thread recently about trail gear offering bumpers. i reacall a $550ish price. that might be the closest you can get unless you score a good deal on a used bumper. also, you are in CA so try and find vendors you can pick up from and save on shipping costs.

No one really likes to hear an 80 referred to as an "old beater rig"; but, it's you're rig. Beat away.

Chunk of railroad tie? OEM? I personally like the harbor freight winch plate only look, but it may not be for everyone.

You should be able to get someone to make you something simple for well under 500.

So easily you folks forget. The best budget front bumper is a SoloFlex.

IMO the BIO front tube bumper is not only one of the best looking front bumpers on the market, but also only about $550. 80 Custom Tube Front Bumper for Toyota Land Cruiser

...and just so someone mentions it, the search window is in the top right corner of the page. This topic is not brand new.

Keep checking craigslist and mud classifieds, they will come up in the 500ish price range.

I have a tube bumper that I would sell for $300, It was welded on, so you would have to either weld it on or make some sort of receiver. You would have to figure out the ride.

That was the reason to order it.

I had to grind a little bit of the original welding of the frame before it glides on smooth.
I am really satisfied and just can recommend this bumper.
