I bought that tank, my dad picked it up today. Looks almost identical to the photo above. The seller noted that it was originally going to be modified to fit an FJ55. Now, to cleaning the inside.

This must be the same tank?? Looks like a huge capacity, have you worked out how much? Is it baffled?

I think it is the same tank. The seller was from Claremont so it would be in the same neck of the woods. I bought it sight-unseen (so not sure on the baffling or condition other than the photos here. Seller (claimed 50gal, unknown vendor. I'll get it up to me in the next couple months and then start working on cleaning and figuring out how to make it work.

I wish my parents would pick up Land Cruiser parts for me in WI. Wait, TLC parts in WI are like hens teeth.

Just finished my fuel tank swap from a stock to a spectra premium gm14b tank. So far no issues.
That tank is a cool Benjamin on Amazon. How easy was the install? Were there major or minor modifications to the tank to get it to work? How did you attach it to the frame? Filler neck issues? What additional parts did you need?

That is a weird looking tank, with the filler in the middle. Is it the same as pictured? 31 gal is a bit of an increase but not too much.
How did you find this one? The price is certainly good.

I picked it for its dimensions and price. My recalled tank had already rusted. Previous owner left it in hos yard while doing engine swap. I had to modify my fj60 filler neck (shortening it 1 3/4"). I used a fg12q spectra premium fuel sending unit.

@DrivingMissRosey If I can't figure out the transport up to my location I'll PM you. BTW's your in the sweet spot with Manafre and SOR with-in driving distance.
Much appreciated. Southern CA is good for LC venders yes, but the old wallet could use a bit more "sweetening" too.

Another question on that tank, do you have to have SOA to keep the tank off the pumpkin? In one of the pics it looks like it wouldn't work for us SUA guys without a serious lift.

I will take a picture today with a tape measure to check the actual clearance.

I think the tank sits far enough back that it would clear but not 100% sure.

Thank, should I say tanks, much obliged.
