I had my 2016 steering wheel covered in full leather by Craft Customs and they did a great job. It was far less than a new stereo wheel. Also if you do a search, I started a steering wheel loaner system here on Mud where you can use a temporary steering wheel while yours is being redone. Hopefully it is still going.

waiting for a nice day to install my wrap - did one on my BMW and it turned out great - hoping for the same results on this one.
I plan on using lots of tape.

i am going to install next week

you recommend doing no double sided tape?
I would recommend double sided tape on where the original wheel’s leather surfaces are only. You don’t feel it under the textured part of the new cover, or at least I don’t.

I didnt care for the double sided tape on the hard plastic portion as I could still feel the outline of the tape strips under the new leather cover where the cover itself is the smooth type leather (at the top)

I was bothered enough to redo the top portion, but dozens of folks have prob done it that way with tape all around and couldn't care less. Depends on your level of compulsiveness, I suppose.

I have one of the Loncky covers on my 80, and I do like it. I need to do something for my '08 200, but I don't think any of the color choices will look decent. I have the tan/brown interior, and their brown is way too light, and the black would look out of place I think. My stock wheel leather is a very dark brown that looks almost black, unless you put something actually black next to it.

Has anyone installed a Loncky on an '08 with the tan/brown interior?

Thanks to all here who provided their thoughts & helpful install advice. I need to do some final tightening & smoothing, but really like this fix for the dreaded peeling leather original wheel.

Went with the BO25 custom design from the Loncky website, black thread substituted for white. The coffee brown leather as side accents complements terra seats pretty well & looks like it could be stock at first glance.

I ordered my Loncky Cover last week for our '16 LC and am waiting for it to deliver from China. It's currently waiting customs.

I actually do like the wood accents on the LC Steering wheel, has anyone tried cutting up a Loncky and using just pieces of it? I realize it'd be a risky experiment, but what I was thinking is cut the cover cleanly, use the tape around the ends near the wood and pull it a little tight, perhaps even use a small spot of glue in the groove between the wood and the leather. I guess worst case it turns out terribly and I spend another $60 for a cover to do the whole thing?

I wouldn't try leaving the wood exposed myself, but I bet one of the custom steering wheel shops will be able to.

self, but I bet one of the custom steering wheel shops will be able to.
Yeah surely they can. Most of the ones I have seen people use cost $$$ and you're without the vehicle (or at least the wheel) for some amount of time. I'm more of a try it myself if the worst case scenario is minor annoyance and rework kinda guy
