@erymer and All,

Kenny says that River Rd is still closed near 109. This only matters to the people who come in on 24/27. Mostly talking to the CLT folks here. If you usually get to Eldorado Outpost without passing the Barn then don't worry about it. If you DO usually pass the Barn then you'll need to go 24/27 to Troy, Turn onto 109 at Bojangles/Better Burger, and continue on to URE. The option for CLT people is to take one of the connector roads from 24/27 to 49 (601 does it) and hit 109 from the north, eliminating River Rd and Troy altogether. Many of you know that it's actually a slightly shorter trip to URE that way, as opposed to going to the Barn first.

I screwed up last week and ignored the CLOSED signs on River Rd. Got almost to the end and had to backtrack. Much wasted time there.

Great info John and thanks for the heads up. First post has been updated.

I have one of those ultra rare unicorn white 80 series that can be rented for the weekend, for an extra modest fee, i'll throw in the envirocooler, and not just one, but TWO orange cases. Whats so ultra rare about this white 80 series? it is near stock height, and has NO ARB bumper, roof rack, or Roof top tent. :grinpimp::hillbilly::flipoff2:

Big deal, I have a white 62 that does not run and has none of that other stuff :)

Oh yeah? I’ll go one better. Stock white 80, no lift, no bumpers, and NO Enviro or orange cases. That’s how we roll in the C L T. But it does have the magic dial.

Breaking news. :bounce:

A World renowned and critically acclaimed author has donated two of his red hot selling books on overlanding. If you’re not lucky enough to win one or just impatient you can buy one. Copies will be at the registration table.

Just registered, Shandor's are IN. Shooting for coming down Friday after work if we (mouse in my pocket) can get all the camping prep squared away on-time. We'll be there on Saturday AM for sure and can lead out an EASY ride on Saturday morning if need be.

Breaking news!

River Rd is open with new culvert installed. Double checked with a friend in Carolina Forest on River Rd, and he and everyone in the area are happy again. Major inconvience for those that live in the area.

Thanks Erymer and club for all you are doing for this years Logan’s Run. The new venue looks great and so close to Outpost and trails. We are excited and looking forward to seeing everyone.

Thank you sponsors!!
All of you are so awesome for your great donations. I hope you guys can come so I can thank you in person.

We plan to arrive Friday around noon. Go away rain!

SWEET!

And just like that, we get moved to chat.

Rims. 5 lug rims.

@JohnVee let me know if I am bringing a double boiler for food, not an inappropriate term of endearment involving warm stones and twine.

Rims? Want some 17" FJC steelies

World Equestrian Games - I have the pitch deck for marketing at the this event. The money is staggering. One prince has a 747 with 27 stalls to fly his horses over. Also, the Saudi's built their own hotel so as to not hang with the GP. Crazy money.

My rent-a-horse and his owner both worked the games for the Israelis, Ecuadorans and some others.
Money was very good. I donated some chainsaw work to the farm so the Israeli team could get in easier.
I saw him Mon and today, ie Wed, and he is still frazzled.

I will be there Saturday! And for those of you who might want to explore the area, please visit the Uwharrie Mercantile in Troy, its a large coffee/baked good shop. Its 7 minutes from the Outpost, downtown Troy. Cool place.

Shadowlands has a huge amount of open space. There are options for camping in the grassy plains or underneath the trees.

I’m on the way now. Running late had some dash lights pop up. Took it to Toyota to get the computers reset.

The Rymers picked up some cool new signs for the club.
