Less concerned about distance for the right place....

otramm the best best for a oem front spacer lift/alignment on a 200?

any suggestions appreciated

Does anyone in the club, or anyone in the club know someone, who does 3D printing? This Toyota boat has an outrageously over complicated switch setup that has now become unreliable. Not a good thing since this includes the bilge pump. I want to 3D print 2 panels that'll fit these spaces with cut outs for standard Carling sealed rocker switches. I suppose the hard part would be doing the renders so if that talent is out there, let me know.

3D printing automotive stuff is hard and takes some more complicated and finnicky materials. Standard PLA or PETG will not hold up in after large temperature swings and with a bunch of UV. My 2 cents having messed around with that stuff a bit is to design the part you want in Fusion 360. Print in PLA to test fit then order the real nylon print from a place online. Nylon is a BITCH to print. As an easier alternative just make an aluminum filler panel and mount the switches to that.

That all sounds really great! And none of it i have a capability to do. :bang:. Well I suppose I could hack my way through an aluminum panel but was hoping for something a little cleaner.

I’ve used Send Cut Send with good luck. It took some time to figure out making the cut file.

I used Inkscape but if you have access to Adobe or other CAD programs they’re better or your could more easily find someone that can do it online. Also, Send Cut Send has their own online tool to build stuff. It’s probably gotten a lot better since I tried it.

Aluminum, stainless, hpde, titanium, abs…they pretty much have any material you want.

They even do bending.

A friend made a storage box and he had no CAD experience previously.

For what it’s worth, you can scan the part with an iPhone and polycam and then import that into fusion360 which is free to model what you want printed. The learning curve isn’t that steep. Paying to get something printed in PLA is pretty cheap now to test the fit.

Send cut send is amazing and I would definitely use them for any laser cut/bent panels

A buddy of mine has a cheap 3d printer and he'll print it up for me this weekend for test fitting. Thanks for the motivation fellas. Good coincidental timing on taking the club axle centering tool kit. That digital calipers was a critical component of this exercise.

Check out Front Panel Express

I used them a few years ago. Good quality products.

I have a friend with a CNC mill and lathe. He's machined a few things for me that I've drawn up in Fusion360. If you're interested, I'm sure we could work something out. I'm up in PA, but those would easily be packaged and sent when finished.

A quick sample:

Front spacer is pretty straight forward. But he's definitely one of the more trusted guys around here. They installed the lift for me on my 200 a few years ago now

Anyone have recommendations for a shop that can enlarge the center bores on a set of wheels?

I made a fixture to mount 6 on 5.5" wheels in my mill to bore the centers. That's the only pattern I've done though.
Would be for a 100 so 5x150

That is a GREAT machine shop. I grew up with one of his mechanics that works there. They are not cheap but by far one of the best shops on the east coast of the US.

Does anyone have a good source that can tint the windows on a 90 FJ62? I checked a couple local places near me and they can't tint them because it's not in the computer they use to lookup vehicle models and computer cut the window film sections. Wtf?
