pighead came over and helped beat the center arm shaft into submission. in the end, it was multiple wacks with a sledge, heat and more wacks with a sledge. i'm off to get the new kit in now, but in the meantime, we also finished up the spring bushing (john, i'll save all the half bushings so you can stack a couple to make one and put on your resto...i guarantee mine are period correct ). i also cleaned up the oem stabilizer and while they are hideous, the red boots will have to do until i get some rubber ones because the oem boots are half discs

outside of driving her, not much has gone on...life has been super hectic with other stuff. i have noticed a weird stumble where she almost stalls. occurs after driving, but if i once shut her off and fired her back up again within minutes and it was gone.

hhmmm, well, not a thing to stop progress. i still have to get bows finalized so justin can bend up sets for us and i can get soft top finalized, but it will be a while at the rate i'm going, also finally have a couple of big window carbs, so need to get one on in place of the small window....ah projects...

been meaning to get this done for about a year. it's the list of oem parts i was able to get during annie's rebuild. some are now now longer available. those are notated. i should do a list of parts i found were nla before i could purchase, but i don't think i kept track. i do know rear shocks are nla, since i recently tried to order those and found that out (thanks beno)
in the case of the steering rods, they are updated to the larger diameter rods, you will have to source the larger diameter clamps, but otherwise, fit fine.

i have noticed a weird stumble where she almost stalls.

Might try turning the idle mixture screw OUT a little bit.
Also, watch the fuel level in the porthole...see what it does when she stumbles

took her out for a spin tonight. seems she burns a bit more smoke every time i drive her, and there's that weird hesitation when she's warm that i've yet to deal with, but she still seems happy to "cruise at 80mph all day long" (or evening in this case...and yes, the speedo does move after bringing fat bastard 2 home, i've noticed a trend tho...see if you can spot it )

the tires are the cute little snow cruisers. hey, toyota said it could seat seven and cruise at 80 mph all day

to say the speedo is a touch inaccurate is way off base

Wait a minute, not sure what vehicle that is. It's says on the apron but I can't read it. It sure does look like Annie though.

Almost time for your "three on the tree" run isn't it? Life has gotten in way again this year, won't be able to make it again and just a day drive away.

thanks to msr pardi for annie's spare hubs. going to have to do some dualmatic research as these are different from the pair on annie and the ones on the 45. i'll get a treeroot syle thread going soon

still putzing around on annie. the radiator has leaked at the seams so i finally pulled it and sent it off to the rad shop...they made it look like new , but took the little piece for the rad cap chain off and didn't replace it

also, on hot days she sometimes spits up a bit so i wanted to add an overflow tank. after the neighbor lady passed, her son let me have a few things out of the garage, among the stuff was a bunch of cans and jars from the arsenal. she worked there in the fifties and 60s. they are safe and have been cleaned and i found one that worked great for an overflow. a bit of copper tubing will route everything

The hose bung comming off the radiator just below the radiator cap is a good place to put the large ring for the radiator cap chain if your running an aftermarket radiator .... Should work for yours as well

I wish we had places like this still in NY ... Alot of the old school rebuild places have faded away

other projects have kept me busy (fat bastard and puff the evil wagon), but today, i finally finished up the template for the soft top bows. lots of checking measurements from another thread (thanks cruisernerd!!!) cutting, welding, bending, tweaking, cutting and welding again and i'm close enough to his measurements to be happy. now to find a place to have a proper set bent up. then to find someone that can fab up a better set of the pieces above and behind the doors and i'll be ready to finally finish mount the soft top!!!! that should happen sometime by 2017 at the rate i'm going
