So whent to a local linex dealer to get an estimate done for the following job

-Rocker panels and 2inch done on the bottom of all doors

The guy whants close to 1100 $ ! + tax :censor:

I like linex it looks really good, you can also get it to a specific color, but the price is there.......

My second option would be a do-it-yourself thing.

-Priming with Wurtz primer
-Then apply Wurtz Gravel Guard

The project would be 200 $

The reason why i whant to protect the rocker panels is because in canada we have a real winter and salt just eats everything ,and i am starting to get rust on the right front door

For 200 I would buy a 1 gallon kit of Al's Liner. You would have way more than enough to do what you are wanting to cover. Same quality as Line-X IMO. Never heard of the gravel guard product.

Do it yourself with either Raptor or Al's (or both) ;)

Monstaliner hands down for home application. I've used a few, and seen almost all of the popular DIY liners in person at this point, and monstaliner is the most impressive IMO. Couple guys that have seen my interior swear that I must have sprayed it on.

How did you mask your lines akarilo? They look perfect!

Tedious taping! I used the wire edge tape (cutting tape) but don't think it's necessary. If you lay down your initial edge with fairly narrow tape it is easier to maintain the curvature as opposed to getting some "pointy" spots.

Go with Al's, I couldn't be happier. The 1 gallon kit was $104 from Amazon, and the hopper gun was $25 from Harbor Freight. You can tint Al's any color you like. It's a no brainer.

I'm impressed that turned out very well!

Did you use the stock cladding color code for the liner?

No, despite having the code, nobody had it in their system. I just picked out a color chip then ended up tinting it a little darker prior to mixing it into the kit. I also thought it might look better if I steered away from the metallic paints as well.

FYI, The grey that comes with the kit is almost white in comparison.
