Thanks for the honest input gentlemen. Your insights, technical expertise and candor makes this site so incredibly valuable.

I've spoken with the owner of Deaver Suspension and shared your comments openly. While he understands and agrees with your math (hard to argue), he still believes they can create a system that I'll be very happy with. Since Deaver is only 4 hours away from me, he has agreed to have his shop do the installation as well and will modify the packs until I am satisfied with the ride. I thought that this was a good offer and will provide an interesting customer experience worth sharing.

Deaver makes good stuff. If they are willing to experiment, (and not at your expense) then go for it!

Deaver finished my springs right before Christmas and we agreed to put it off till first of the year. Calling this week to set up the install date.

Getting free time is difficult this time of year. I definitely want to see the results. I had plans on terrain tamers and the price is nice but the more i think of how I use my 60, which is almost exactly how bernie uses his. 2 small dogs and small luggage on road trips. I'm 700 mile shy of 200k and bone stock minus 31" tires. I want stock look.

Hang on @chelo,
Deaver and I are looking at the next couple of Friday's, depending on weather.

I replaced my OEM with OME when Valley Hybrids did the rebuild a little over a year ago.
The plan is to try these with the Deaver springs at first, to see how they feel and adjust if needed.

Looking forward to your install and driving impressions.

Not trying to shoplift your thread but I'm looking for stock springs for my 62. I saw a comment that someone thought the specs on the 62 is slightly off from a 60. I'd be interested to know if anyone knows this answer and how your Deaver experience works out.

Mr. Deaver putting the new springs on now. Personal attention and serious commitment to this project. More soon.

It would be awesome if the Deaver springs are long enough. I can't find an aftermarket spring out there that doesn't give you a straight up and down or slightly inverted shackle. Obviously, I'm talking about lift springs because that is all that is available, but a 1" lift/stock height spring that is as long or longer than the factory spring would be amazing. Can't wait to see your results!
