Hi Guys,

I just got back from a 5 week trip in Morocco, thought i'd post some pics of my 62.

An awesome trip and the truck was perfect, took a total pasting at times, but kept coming back for more. I got back, hosed the **** off and put it in for an MOT......passed first time.....nice!!

On a side note....i met a guy in Ouarzazate who showed me a pic of a dune crossing he made in his old 60......ooops

nice 62, looks like you travel it.
Is your spare wrapped in something? looks white...

That might be the most insane picture i've ever seen! I want to try.

Haha, it did make me laugh that one.......but.......i reckon he could jump that dune another 1000 times and land on his roof every single time!!!!

Thanks Sandcruiser, i get away with it whenever i can, gonna be a lean year from here on in tho, i just nailed all of this years time off work in one hit! Was well worth it tho.
The next big one will be Cape to Cape (Nordkapp to Cape Town), gonna take a while to get the cash together, but a year out for that trip will be incredible.
The 2nd spare is just covered in a plain white spare wheel cover, i just thought it drew less attention to itself than a brand new BFG on show. It was only about £3 and hasn't fallen apart yet!

I like the white cover. Stealth, but clean looking.

I hear you on time/resources for travel.... the bane of wanderlust is that when you've got the resources, you rarely have the time, and when you take the time, you may not have the resources!

Do you also have a Lada? (based on your sign-in name)

With you all the way there, if anyone cracks the answer to this one, please post it!!:bang:

My last overland ride was a Niva.....man i miss that little truck! It was no landcruiser, but a good honest little 4x4
This is us en route to Timbuktu

Sorry, i hope 1 non Toyota pic is ok.....i wont make a habit of it!

Great picture. I think most will agree that any photo of a 4x4 that is actually out in a cool destination, is a welcome photo.

This has gotta be Wadi Rum in Jordan. When I was there in 1999 there were at least 20 FJ45s lined up waiting to take customers out into the Wadi. Georgous area!

Cool, thanks for joining in and posting Nic! I look forward to seeing some more from you in here. With the Spring and Summer fast approaching, I'm sure you'll have plenty of opportunities to get some remarkable shots!

For that matter, I just might have to bring the camera with us as we're gona head up to the Gold Country/Sierra Foothills this next week! :steer:

So lets see what everyone's been up to this Winter and start showing some of our trips this season!

I've picked up a few items, mostly steel stock to start a little thing, and have some other deal playing out in my head still. I'll try to throw it into sketchup or something pretty soon to share, in the meantime though, apparently there are those among us who don't take the winter off.

re: http://lostworldexpedition.com/Updates/2010/03/02/san-miguel-de-allende-it-will-suck-you-in/. Luis and Lacey, you are pushing it!! [Jealous] So I'm gonna post my shots in here just to hopefully get the Build and Travel Bug going all over again for others who read this thread! :p:p:p

BTW, so your pics are better than mine, so what, and you drove there, so what, I'm a calling you out! ;p

*Any good pics of the big (main) town square in San Miguel de Allende by chance you haven't put up? The one with all the trees and cement surrounds where you can just sit quietly and people watch all day long? It's such a nice gathering spot, like the little square in Guanajuato where the Policia gather each morning..
