I bought this rack used, the low profile looked good and clears the garage door. Honestly about the only thing that will ever get hauled up there is a kayak, paddleboard or project supplies from Menards. Don't see any wilderness expeditions in the near future.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. There seem to be a lot of options to purchase them, enough height to clear the roof on a 40 and they mostly look pretty burly. Has anyone tried the "ladder mount" style with the side tabs that are pretty common? It seems like it would be a good starting point to add a basket.Commercial service van gutter mounts and aluminum crossbars that I bought at a steel shop and cut/drilled to fit. Very solid.

I used light bar brackets. I bought 6 and stripped one out, so I rolled with just 4. The rack originally 4 had legs and gutter mounts. I cut these off and welded tabs with mounting holes lined up for the light bar brackets.What are folks doing for roll cage racks?

It only pushes the bikini in a little and doesn’t make to much extra noise. The rack I bought used twenty years ago, so I don’t know the manufacturer. It’s not as sturdy as a conferr, but suits my needs. It carries a cooler, folding chairs axe and shovel. Occasionally a child...
