Hi all, I’m new to the forum. I’ve been reading for years, so thought it was time to jump on board.

Just wondering if anyone here or someone knows who bought either the Legacy Overland 1977 Deep Moss Green and/or 1979 FJ40s in custom green colour. Both colours look the same to me.

I am considering colours for my FJ40 build and love their custom green FJ40s, but they have been unwilling to share the colour codes when I have reached out, hence why I’m reaching out to the brains trust.

Thanks in advance.

Wow must be double top secret x-color codes. I'm not a painter and only had my 72 done once by a neighbor back in about 1985. Most of the flat Tan is still there. Took 3 gallons to do 7 coats on the outside and 5 on the inside with like a pint left over. Flat has to be shot as is, it can't be thinned.

Looking at pic's or computer screens of colors INHO is way different than looking at the real object in the sun. I'd just go to your local automotive paint store and see what they have, or go to car lots and write down the codes of ones you like.

Back in the day we painted some helicopters with Imron and it seemed to hold up well.

Thanks for the reply. Yep, you are right there. Big difference between photos and the real thing. Am going through colours with the paint shop too.
