I installed led's in the rear of my 74 fj40 and now the turn signals won't flash, I even tried a electronic flasher, same deal. Any ideas? Thanks

LED’s do not pull the same power as incandescent lamps, so your flasher will not trip.

The set up in the 40 is that if it thinks a bulb is burnt out the flashers won't work to let you know. It detects this (I think) by resistance. If you wired in something in place of the OEM stuff, then it needs to mimic the resitance of the old setup to work.

That's my guess, someone correct me if I am wrong.

Damn, I hate it when Poser beats me. Essentially both answers are similar. The voltage is set so the power is determined by the load (resistance).

Electronic flasher should flash no matter what. More info would help. Do the fronts flash? Do the LEDs light up? Maybe it is not an electronic flasher or the LEDs are wired incorrectly.
