^ thanks. I was trying to remove the whole light fixture from the overhead foam

thanks so much for putting this together, @KLF! I just ordered and googled to find a current 10% off code (FB18W).

I know this is an old thread, but this is where I got the idea to change my bulbs. Turns out I had the same issue stated earlier where my key fob stopped working with the LEDs installed. (Once the lights turn off, the fob works perfectly.) It took a crazy long time to figure out that the LEDs were the cause. (I had done several mods around the same time. Oops) I bought all of mine from SuperBrightLEDs. After swapping back to the OEM bulbs, my issue went away.

For the best less recommend VLEDS.com They don't have promotions all the time but TOYOTA10 always works for 10% off. In my 21 I have v6 turn signals and reverse as everything else is already LED.

Thanks @KLF (and others) for this awesome thread!

I ordered the list of bulbs from your list and installed them tonight (2011 LX 570).

Couple questions...

1) The spreadsheet lists only 2 bulbs for "front dome and reading." But... it looks like you need FOUR bulbs, right? (Two front dome, and two front reading).

2) I'm having trouble getting to the reading bulbs in the front and the center. Please see pics. Any suggestions?

3) My rear dome light never comes on when set in "door" mode (neither before nor after the LED swap). Any suggestions? It does work when turned to the "on" position.

Thanks!

I got that section apart on my '14LX to find the Spot lights to be LEDs, soldered to a small board.

Thanks @mdrei! Sounds like the LX is different from the LC there. I thought they looked like an LED light, and they seem fine to me. So I'm going to leave them :)

LED interference with signal is a known issue in maritime. Upgrading masthead lights to LED commonly messes up VHF radio reception. LEDs can be designed to eliminate this interference, but it take some work (and of course, extra cost). I doubt that you'd be following up on this issue four years later; but, for those researching the upgrade to LEDs who come across this thread, I wanted to share. If a set of LEDs is interfering with the key fob, try purchasing some better quality LEDs. Marine suppliers may select LEDs that do not have interference issues (but note that everything marine-rated is also significantly up-charged). If nothing else, try different brands until you hit on one that isn't interfering with the fob.

Here's the source of LEDs I use for maritime. I can't guarantee that this site will have what's needed, or that the interference won't occur, but I haven't encountered any issues with signal degradation on my sailboat:
