Hello,
I just installed these in my LX, 2003.
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B072R4Y6TF/ref=pe_3034960_236394800_TE_dp_1

H1 for low beam and H3 for fog lights.
I love the look, true bright white, no blue hint whatsoever.
Makes the LX look modern :)

But the problem is that I cant close the bulb housing.
Definitely wont do watercrossings like this.
Should I return ASAP?

I prefer not to return them as I love the lights, but if you advise otherwise, I will!!
Kindly advise.

Go with a xenon kit (HID). The harness that feeds the bulb will come with a grommet so you can keep the headlight sealed.

May I have the link to a specific kit u recommend?
Thank you!

read this first:
LX Headlight Upgrade Database

these are best rebased H1 HID bulbs:
H1: Morimoto Elite

If you want to upgrade from the factory projector to one desigined for HID, bolt in brackets are being made to updrade the factory halogen projector to the morimoto mini H1:
LX470 HID RETROFIT PROJECTOR BRACKET

these are what you want:

Please do everyone on the road a favor and don't install HID bulbs in reflector housings. Do a complete projector retrofit or get some HIR bulbs and call it done.

wow, these great resources didnt appear on my search. Thank you!
the options presented are more than what I would like to spend on headlights.

I will return the LEDs I bought, not risking having them exposed.

Would someone please confirm these will actually fit in the housing like the OEMs?
Amazon.com: Philips H1 CrystalVision Ultra Upgrade Headlight Bulb, 2 Pack: Automotive

I will buy H1 and H3, should be enough, otherwise I can get an LED bar if needed for offroading.

I appreciate ur prompt responses,,,
Thank you all,,,,

He has an LX which is fitted with factory projectors lens's. so go ahead with those HIDs!
Projector lens, yes. It's halogen spec though, there's a difference.

I've read the database before as I did tsx lenses in my headlights. However, I have installed HIDs in "halogen" projectors before. The only issue that I have seen is that they are not as bright as an oem xenon, which I would bet has more to do with the clarity of the lens itself, as well as the spacing from the bulb.

@Tareq There are also housing caps that might suit your needs.

Rubber Housing Caps

Nice, thank you @hoser !
I just dont want to deal with another fitment issue, no time,,,
I am just about to head to UPS to return these LEDs,,,,

So u guys approve those cheaper priced Philips CrystalVision Ultra?
I think H1 + H3 should be bright enough and for the price difference I can get an LED bar too!

Honestly, upgrading to a different halogen will not give you what you desire. They'll just burn out quicker. get a set of hid's and call it a day. I've done it in a bunch of lx and gx 470's with projectors, glare isn't as bad as you think.

Get a kensun kit from amazon and try it out. You'll love it. 5k

I have zero problems withy my LED bulbs, but I use OPT-7 bulbs in everything, they are also waterproof.

I'm reading that most LED bulbs are too large for the LX470 housing, but the last threads were over 2 years old.

So who is happily running LEDs for the low beams in 2019?

I don't have a desire to bake my lights, etc. But I've tried Phillips Extremevision and NightBreakers - all halogens are just as bad as OEMs.
