Superbrightled - Indicates: Your vehicle may require an LED compatible Flasher or Load Resistor. LED brake/tail lamps will not flash with most stock flasher units due to their extremely low current draw.

Is this a problem for a 1984 FJ60? Do I need a new flasher/load regulator to make LED work? I also pull a trailer ever so often. If I remember I had to put a HD flasher in to run the trailer. Do not want to purchase LED Brake/tail lamps if this is going to be a problem. If there is a flasher that will work with all this what and were can I buy it.

Toyota separates the red brake lights from the yellow turn signals So you're fine to replace the brake lights. A special flasher would be required for the turn signals. There are a couple of threads about it.

I left the regular incandescent bulbs in my signals. Way too much hassle for something unnecessary. The LED brake lights are MUCH brighter than stock. Very good mod for the rest of the lights.

If you upgrade your dash lights, I recommend getting low output bulbs for the choke, 4wd, and hi beam indicators. Because they don't dim with the rest of the dash lights, they can be annoyingly bright at night. Also, take the time to match the color with the lens. It looks much better than using white on everything.

Juggernaught - I appreciate your recommendations. I had looked for this in the LED threads but and found the recommend replacement LEDs but did not find info on the flasher/load resistor. My instrument panel is a Dakota Digital so need any LED's the but in the greatest need of dome lighting. I've order a new cover for the dome and just need LED for the cargo as the light fixture is in good shape ( I hope as it has never had a bulb in it since I've owned it). I will install all LEDs except the turn signal lights. Again thanks for your direction here.

Roger, i've gone with LED's all the way with my Cruiser. I faced a similar problem. The moment ALL my turning lights were changed to the LED they started flashing really fast, but i had already purchased the flasher unit. This is the general search page: http://www.superbrightleds.com/search/led-products/flasher/

However, for my Cruiser, the Old Flasher had a three pin config, so i had bought the identical flasher unit (note that the position of the pins aren't the same as the one toyota have provided with the flasher holder. You might need to make some sort of rewiring for the new flasher). Here is the one I had bought: http://www.superbrightleds.com/more...f13gl-02-led-bulb-electronic-flasher/782/836/

You can search for the identical ones that your cruiser will have. It might not fit the same old holder, but you can always work around that.

For the DASH i agree with Juggernaught - if you buy really bright lights for the Dash/instrument cluster, you'll notice them slap you in the face at night. My dipper light (blue high beam) is really bright. I'm sure 50% of the headlight output is INSIDE the car :P -- So to say. You might need to buy a load resistor for the dash if you're gonna change ALL. Else you'll need to have at least one old bulb behind the dash, to provide some sort of resistance. SUPERBRIGHT however have a solution: http://www.superbrightleds.com/search/led-products/load/ -- the first two.

Hope this helps! Good luck! Hope to see some images soon!

I face the same situation and I took my time to look around for a bolt on LED flasher.. since I didn't found any, just leave my regular bulbs for turning lights ..

I used the Toyota LED flasher sold at SuperBright LEDs. I plugged it into a relay socket then used 1/4" spades to plug into the existing connector.
