Is possable to have a motor oil leak at the rear seal of the power steering pump?
I have motor oil leaking from or on the rear of the pump.

I doubt engine oil could get clear through the PS pump body. If anything PS fluid would leak into the timing cover because of the pressure inside the pump. Either you have spilled oil on the back of the pump during a filter change or the pump is leaking. My pump has a bit of a weep at the backside and since I use the honey blonde PS fluid it can LOOK like motor oil but the odor is PS fluid/ATF.

Not to scare you Landtoy but the leak I had from the head/block seam was getting on my starter and at first, made me think the same thing. I thought it was coming from around the power stearing pump. Get a flashlight and give the seam a close look.

Thanks

Andrew

I'm seeing the same thing on my '93...except it's dripping off the back of the PS pump onto the driveway  As best I can tell it's either the o-ring in the distributor above it leaking or the PS pump itself (hopefully not dreaded HG leak Andrewsreef speaks of). I ordered a new o-ring from 'cdan and am going to pull the distributor this weekend and see what I find under there...keep me posted what you find as well.

Check the timing cover for leaks. It may drip on the PS pump.
