Great find and deal... Welcome to the group.

Yes, I do feel lucky regarding price. $580 is basically moving expenses I paid the family whose house I bought. The FJ40 was given to me in exchange as a 'Thank-You'.

More pictures to come this weekend. We have a 4 month old son so my 'man time' is on a bit more of a budget these days.

The interior is definitely 'ruff', but seems to be all there.

She has a small block which i'm quite familiar with, but do wish the original drive train was still in house. For now maybe she'll be a wheeler and over time seems like it might be fun to take more of the restoration route. We'll see.

Onward and thanks again for all the support!

wow ... at that price you have plenty of flexibility re next steps ... "original" is nice, but nothing wrong with the small block ... lighter than the 2f, more power, plenty of parts around, etc, etc ... good luck, hopefully its drivable with a little work so you can enjoy it right away ...

Regarding your time constraints because of the little one, it doesn't take long before they start helping! My two babies, one a '78 and one a '93. Original owner of both! One of my favorite pictures of my boy (20 year old beast now!)
