Glad you found a spot. :)
Ouray Challet Inn still has rooms that are not crazy expensive. Definitely not a fancy place, but adequate and dead center location In the tiny town.
that sounds great, if we cant find a campin spot this will be the second best.

Sup guys, got my official invite today. I've already signed up for the below.

Yankee on Thursday
Black Bear #2 on Friday
There's three options left for Saturday (Alpine, Poughkeepsie, & Corckscrew) so I was as hoping some of the regulars could help guide me to which to sign up for.

This will be our first time to CO and first time to LCDC as well. Stock LC200 with 275 70 18, maybe ill jsut buy some sliders from Slee or other local company while I'm out there.

Being as we are just now being invited, I have yet to find camping/lodging. If anyone has space or knows of a place to camp send advice my way here or through PM. Anyone coming from Atlanta or Birmingham? Time to go back and reread this entire thread.
4j+1+1 still had tent sites available last time I checked, it's been a couple weeks though. And it's situated within walking distance to town, so may be a good option.

I’ve got a tent site and a camper site booked there. I don’t know if I’ll bring the camper or tent yet, but I’ll let the group know which one I’m giving up so someone can scoop it up if needed.

I did the alpine loop last year and it was very pretty. Despite assisting with a recovery on Mineral Creek, I didn't personally find it all that tough. I haven't done Corkscrew before but will be leading it this year, along with BBP #2. So if you have fun on Friday, join me again on Saturday. And if you can't stand me on Friday then definitely do the Alpine Loop.

I was talking to some people locally who are going up to FJ Summit July 17th and they don't believe BBP or Imogene will be open. For once I'm actually hoping for more heat. With that being said, I wonder how the water crossings will be this year?

We should do an office pool guessing dates BB and Imogene passes open. :hillbilly: -Whether in-time or not...

Just for kicks, Ima put my money on Monday, July 29th...just in time for a couple pre-runs as I’ll get there the 28th. ;)

Got official word I'm in as well. Signed up for BBP with @linuxgod Friday and the Silverton Mine Trail Saturday. Not sure if when I'll be arriving yet, waiting to see if a friend wants to tag along. Definitely going to be looking for a tent camping site though (I'm looking at you @Taco2Cruiser, if you don't need it ;)).

BBP still has plenty of snow, picture taken Wednesday

Oh great, now I read the page on the website which talks about maybe not doing BBP if you're scared of heights. No turning back now! 🤣
If you *really* don't like shelf roads and heights then it's not for you. I don't love heights (ie. standing at the top of a building or bridge with a low railing) but the heights on BBP didn't bother me despite a complete lack of any guard rails. Obviously everyone is different.

There are some videos of BBP and other trails on youtube. If you're not sure, watch a couple and see what you think.

Well if I can't do BBP this year, there's always the 6th annual LCDC!

We have had to cancel out, folks. We made an unanticipated decision on Saturday to relocate to Bend, OR and that will consume our time and priorities this summer. I let Cole and Cody know as soon as I knew and also immediately cancelled out of the event on the website. Hopefully this will open a slot for someone on the wait list. It is going to be a great event. I will miss you all and the event itself. If there is an LCDC6 then maybe I’ll have an excuse to drive back to CO if that is where it is held. Enjoy the event and be safe!

Ophir pass opens June 27th

@ethernectar I just picked up two, thanks for the reminder!
