I made a backup plan if the campground doesnt have an opening Saturday night. I made a reservation at the Hampden Inn in Montrose. So we will be able to enjoy the Slee dinner this year.

Good thing I checked, I made this reservation in October and who knows what I was thinking then :) Probably miss the traffic going home
I suspect I am in the same situation as @Romer. When I reserved there was no dinner on Saturday night and I think I just assumed I would drive home after the trail. I've called 4J to confirm but have not heard back from them. We'll see...

We may be looking for a camp sight Saturday night or might just head home.

Closing dinner is always a highlight and a lot of swag will be handed out :)

Last call for shirts. Ends in 2 hours.
Hi guys I had to cancel this year but I ordered shirts. How would I go about getting the shirts? Thanx guys

I just had to cancel and released the camping cabin at 4J. Probably gone now, but might call.

Well... I’ve if you’re gonna have issues, get them out of the way BEFORE LCDC.

Failed CV?
No, CVs are fine (120k). I wouldn’t of pulled the front diff if it was a failed CV.

Diff blew oil last all three seals at exact same time. But breather is clear. Air locker functioning great, but I’m sure it is to blame. So this will take some investigating. I’ll break open the clamshell this weekend.

The only thing I can say for sure right now, nothing of the factory Toyota configurations is at fault.

Ah, I couldn't tell from that photo that the front diff had been pulled

Too easy. Yeah if you look at the hole to the right of the shock, that’s where the front diff sits. Between the steering rack and the engine oil pan.

Yeah once you pointed it out, it's obvious to me :p

Sorry no pictures but I just had Toyota replace the left front KDSS stabilizer. It had failed and leaked out all my neon green KDSS blood. I’m not glad it happened but I’m glad it happened in time for repair before LCDC.

Interesting. First time hearing a kdss "failure" on these. Just a leaking seal or was there damage to the area?

There was no trail damage, the stabilizer failed due to use, essentially. I live in the desert and our trails are frequently in bad shape. I had no problem after running 40+ relatively high speed miles on trails with endless “baby heads” six months ago. This trail had quite a few rocks but was significantly easier than those. It appeared the top seal had failed as The whole thing was covered in fluid and fluid had made a mess in the area.

Wow that’s wild - first I’ve heard of an issue with KDSS. What was the $ damage?
