In storage in Pahrump,
Front differential went out pretty much and now the Passenger front axle also needs immediate service. I think I heard it break on a corner on the way to storage.
Driver rear window stops 1/2” shy of rolling all the way up now. Rear window defroster connector needs to be repaired now.
341,191 miles now
head gasket done @304k
new transmission @320k
valve cover gasket and plugs @329k
front axle drivers side @329k
front knuckle drivers side @333k
front brake pads calipers rotors @329k
Nitto Ridge Grapplers with over 50% tread
17” Black Rhino Armory Wheels
No Running boards
No radio antenna
Interior and Exterior in good condition
Switches, buttons all work
Sunroof works
Rear heater works
Sliders slide
1 yr old Pioneer deck
Speakers are pretty shot maybe original
Serviced at dealer every 5,000 miles from
1997-2004. Probably garaged as it lived in Kansas before moving to SoCal in ‘04
No rust
Very solid truck minus the front axle issues.
I think it is worth putting the money into.
If I had the money to fix it and the steady income to maintain it, I’d hang on to it.
This 80 series drives so straight and that engine sounds so good -it put a smile on the face of every mechanic that’s heard it running
It still rolls - but I recommend a trailer unless you’re in Pahrump.
I’d like to see someone get it before summer is over
More pics and video to follow
Cheers
